I would love for our daughter Sam to find someone to pal around with some on this cruise. Anyone out there that has someone that is kind of into the eclectic music, Paramour, Fall Out Boy, that style. She isn't into the sun scene, she is proud of her lack of tanness

My youngest daughter will be 16 on the cruise. So I asked her to check out the info, she knowsa Fat Boy Out. She is looking forward to meeting and hanging out with Sam, but Robin isn't a sun worshipper, but she likes to swim.

She also listens to Christian bands, althought I don't know the names of them. One I know is Superchick.

Maybe we can get them connected before the cruise?

I would love that!! Our last cruise she basically just hung out and read... nothing wrong with reading but I wish she had of gone and done more..ya know? Sam loves to swim also. Maybe let them do some emailing? I am already excited!! We are going to be in room 10610 I think?

Oh, Gary! It will certainly be easy to remember your wife's name We call Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom our home for our DVC home away from home. I love OKW though! I find it so peaceful when we have stayed there

Hello All,

My extended family and I are also booked on this cruise. It will be
Me and DS 13 (at time of cruise)
DM and DF
DSis and DBIL, nephews 6 and 8
DSis and adult nephew

I am also trying to convience my older DS, who will be 21, to join us, but he is in college and says he doesn't know what he will be doing at that time.

DS and I are also booked for th e 5 day following on 8/16. We have done one 3 day (March 2010), and a 4 night CC double dip (July 2008) and we feel 4 nights just won't give us time to explore the band new ship. And we are driving from Texas, about a 14 hour drive, so we are going to make it worth the long drive with a B2B. We booked back in November when rates came out, so we were able to get the same room for both, so we won't have to pack up and move.

It will be the first Disney cruise for everyone one else in my family, and we are very excited to share the fun with them!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone over the next year+!

Welcome Dahly! So glad you are joining us!!! It's great that the kids in your group seem to be right around the same ages as many of the kids in the group already. How exciting that you are doing a b2B...that sounds awesome!

We are driving from Philly, and I think that we may go to Universal and Sea World/Aquatica before the cruise. The kids want to see the new Harry Potter stuff. We are actually going to Disney World in August for our first summer trip this year. We have always gone over Winter Break - we are taking advantage of the free dining offer and being able to go the water parks. I am a bit nervous about the heat I must admit!!! But we are excited to be going back to the World!!!

Thanks for the welcome! I think we are going to try to do Universal later this fall, DS is a Harry Potter fan as well, and he is looking forward to checking out the new portion of the park. Until then, he is counting down the days left of school (16!). No bigs plans this summer, just hanging out and a couple weeks of camp, but he is ready for 6th grade to be over!

Hello Everyone! My name is Megan. I am a Navy vet and a full time nursing student. This will be my first cruise and first Disney experience. My son Kayden is coming with me and he will be 4 almost 5 then. This is also going to be his first cruise and Disney experience. We are more than excited! We already made a savings jar lol. I have 2 other members of my family but they will not be attending. My husband Michael, who has never experienced Disney, he wont be attending because he says " I cant be on a ship with nothing but water around me plus I dont like to swim". And my baby Kole who will be 1 almost 2 then, he wont be attending because I am simply not brave enough to take them both by myself yet lol. We are only doing the 4 night cruise this time. I am planning a March 2011 Spring break trip to WDW for all of us. I booked a stateroom with verandah because I am an early bird and I love to read. So I pictured myself ordering from room service and sitting on the verandah reading a book. That sounds like heaven to me. Also looking forward to getting to know people from here so I can socialize with someone besides my 4 year old on the cruise!

I'm traveling with my DH, Tim and DS, Ian who will be 18. We also plan on a few days at WDW prior to sailing.

Hi everyone,

We just booked this cruise as well! Like some others, this will be our 3rd Disney cruise (1st was in 2006, Wonder; 2nd in 2009, Magic). Although I'm a Florida native, I have a lot of family in NJ, so it sounds like I will be in good company. Traveling with me are: my wife, 2 daughters (age 6 and 2 at time of sailing), and my mom and dad (who are from NJ originally).

Looking forward to getting to know everyone over the course of the next year. By the way, exactly one year from today, we will be ON the cruise

We live in South Wales in the UK.
There's me, my DH and Ds who will be 10, almost 11 when we cruise next year.
We are DVC members at BLT and have just returned from our first cruise on The Wonder which we did on points. We loved it so much that we rebooked for the Dream. Our trip will be combined with a DVC stay in Orlando and possibly Vero Beach.
Excited already!

Welcome to our new families! This thread has been very quiet!!! We just got back from a great week at WDW, and now DH and I are getting ready to go back to school....ugh! I've been in meetings all week.... The kids and I start back on Monday, and DH doesn't have to go back until the 7th...

DH did surprise me with some news.... for my 40th bday he booked a 3day cruise for just the 2 of us on the Dream in March!!! (my birthday is in Feb but that is when we can go.....) So we will be able to report back to everyone about the ship!!!!

Brilliant news about the surprise cruise. Lucky you! I will be 40 in December and we have a planned trip to Vegas - never been before.
DH and I are teachers in the UK - we go back to school next week. Ugh! Planning for next year is helping us to beat the post holiday blues.

My DH is from England (Mansfield,) and we met in Chichester while I was doing my teaching practice there. We got married a year later, and I taught in the UK for 3 more years before we moved back to Philadelphia....His family is still there. We are actually going over for his sister's wedding in June.

I've been to Vegas twice (without DH on two "girls trips".) It's fun!

My DH teaches design technology to 11-19 year olds.
I'm head of a primary school in an inner city area. Stressful jobs so we love our trips to the mouse.

I teach 6th grade....11 and 12 year olds...English and Science in a Middle School. DH is a PE teacher at a private girls school. He teaches all grades elementary and middle and high school...

We also were going to book the aug 16th trip because it is our anniversary, also. Small world. So we'll be getting off the ship on our anniversary. My kids and I are originally from Pittsburgh, but now live in Cincinnati. This will be our 5th disney cruise. We are going to take a royal carribean this nov. and I told my 13 yr old that he may enjoy it more than disney and he said "not possible, mom. Rae

Hi Gary, We will also be joining you on the dream. My name is Rae, my husband is Ray ( yes, you read that right), My son is Trevor and will be 14 at the time and our daughter is Melina and she will be 11 at the time. This will be our 5th disney cruise. We LOVE the cruises...so much more than the parks. Although we will go to the parks for 3 days prior to the cruise. We live in Cincinnati, but my kids and I are originally from Pittsburgh (GO STEELERS) Only my husband is a Bengals fan...poor guy. How do I register for a meet and greet? Can't wait to meet everyone. Only 347 more days to go.

Where in Pittsburgh are you from? We are originally from Glenshaw where my brothers and parents still are. My son will be 14 at the time of our cruise and daughter will be 11. Can't wait!!!
