August 12, 2011 Disney Dream Meet Link Here

Hey, I forgot to ask where online can we find if the time we picked to arrive at port has been changed? I could have sworn I found it online before but can't seem to find it now.

Michelle, go back in to wear you can view the documents you filled out, and go to check in time. Mine has not changed yet. My ck in time has not changed, but my TA said to arrive at 10:45 to ck in at 11 instead of 10:30. Jamey, so sorry about your diagnosis. I was just messing with you:lovestruc I do love BE though, because it feels like you're wearing nothing.

No worries Rae, I love your spunk.. And I feel the love

Michelle, I seem to be the only person so far that checked the DCL website to find out that my time had been changed from 10:30 to 11:00. So far the others said their times have not changed. I swear I saw somewhere here where someone checked with their travel agent, who said they were just going to push everyone back 1/2 hour. Am I crazy? (Don't answer that Rae) I did read that I think...

I was wondering today what movie they might play in 3D on the ship... I was trying to look for recent Navigators, but the earliest one I could find was from May and it was Pirates of the Caribbean! That would have been a great one!

We've had heat index of 100-120 several days here with humidity 70-80. I keep telling DS to step outside and see if he thinks we can still tour Universal and WDW commando style, like our plans are. He thinks yes, I think no. :rotfl:

Here in the Philadelphia area.....we have had quite a few record breaking days in a row......the heat has been very oppressive.

I am just telling my family that this is helping us get into "Disney shape". And in fact......this will help us attack WDW commando style......must be a guy thing?

I think over the next few days our forcast will only be in the 90's & high 80's instead of triple digits.

I do remember praying for this heat somtime last February

Ah, thanks. That was easy to find with your help. ;) I'm still signed up online for 10:30 time. I see 11, 11:30, 12, and 12:30 are all greyed out which would mean if I wanted to change my arrival time it would need to be at 1:00 or later.

So does this mean that us 10:30 people show up at 11:00 with all the 11:00's? I would guess that would also mean people who have concierge could board at 11:00 as well? (Don't know much about that as have never sailed that way!) Isn't 11:00 going to be a madhouse?

I have a 10:30 shuttle reserved from Port at Radisson. I wonder if I should call and book a 11:00. My understanding is it's only about 5 minutes from port, but if I have to stand outside all that time it wouldn't be good. Sheesh, why couldn't they have stated this Sept. 2??:rotfl:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Yes, me too but probably more like in November. I really dislike winter and I've lived in MN all my life. Last winter after one of the ickiest winters we've had, when I told DH I'd like to move to FL he said I'd have to go without him - after 23 years I still love DH :worship:, so that's why I'm still in MN!

As a totally random topic, I listed a bunch of things on Craigslist today. If I make enough money I thought I'd put it toward the wine pairing (99.00 eek!) for myself. I'm having a hard time rationalizing spending that much money on wine in one meal!! I've sold 25.00 last night, yipee. So, send me selling pixies!

I really need to go make my shirts for the trip. Must...get...off...computer!

Duh, Jamey, that was me that said about the time changes. I will be showing up at 10:45 on the dot!

And Michelle, this one's for you: :tinker: Good luck on the sales!!!!

:thumbsup2

You have to tell us what you think of Remy! We are doing Palo for the first time, and I am excited to try that! I'm not sure I am brave enough for Remy.... but I did hear that they changed the menu a bit because it was a bit too exotic for most people. I have to admit I was scared of most of the things on the menu! :scared1: (but I am not the most adventurous eater either!!!)

Hi Guys, :)

I haven't been on this board much but we are leaving in like 2 weeks for this cruise! (We are heading to disney first) :cool1:

Does anyone know if the Aug. 12th trip sold out? If you search for it online disneycruiseline.com it is not coming up... I was just wondering if that meant we are on a full ship?

I would say we should plan for a full ship. I was searching the DCL website for the longest time (watching for a lower/cheaper category to open up) and our cruise has not been available for any categories for the looongest time. Since like April I think. :scared1:

I finally, finally finished my FE today. Let me tell you it's obvious an amateur with little talent made it! I just hope it holds up:lmao:

Took DS shopping today for his laptop, linens and misc. supplies for school. He picked out navy blue and black sheets, blanket, comforter, towels and bath rugs. His side of the room is going to look like a giant bruise.

I think the menu at Remy is just scary.:scared1: But I don't eat red meat or drink milk because I can't help thinking about what I'm eating. Sometimes I think too much....................

Going to go watch the Pirates try to beat the Reds.

Rae - If yinz go dahntahn n'at to get a sammich will you be going across the crick to Primanti's? Worsh your babushka!:laundy:

OK, I have a "newbie" question... When you are on the boat, can you actually feel it moving? It seems so big that it seems that maybe you wouldn't be able to tell it is...

Got another laugher for you... My DH just told me he wants to get to the port at 9am. I asked him why, and he said he wants to be the first in line:rotfl2: Can you tell he's he's excited? I told him this was not the fast pass line for Space Mountain.. And the only thing we would get for arriving at 9am was a long wait!!

Hell yeah you can feel the boat. One night I was in the restaurant for dinner, napkin fell on the floor....leaned over to get it as we hit a big wave....fell out of my chair onto my face:rotfl2:Too funny. When is your ck in time? Oh, and Judy, the reds and pirates aren't playing until the weekend after the cruise.

Yes, some nights you can feel the boat moving more than others. Depends on how choppy the water is. But, I will say, you will probably get the best nights sleep you haven't had in a while due to the ship rocking you to sleep!

We just had dinner with the in-laws and we are all very excited. I am having our family wear shirts with Mickey heads on them for our picture getting on the ship. My family thinks I am NUTS, but they will wear them to make me happy! LOL!

My sister is coming down in a week for a week visit, so that should help pass the time!! The 12th can not get here fast enough.

I have had disigners personalize somethings for me......Not sure if I can get my DD's to wear them....time will tell?

Wow, I'm impressed at how much you guys post.

My DW (Cheryl) and I (Michael) cruised the Wonder back in 2003. So this will be our second DCL cruise. This will be the first cruise for our DDs (Megan 10 and Lindsey 12).

Since we went to WDW a couple of years ago and since we are HUGE Harry Potter fans, we are going to Universal before the trip.

After reading some posts, I got online and filled out our documents. Our port arrival time is 1:00 PM.

We are doing the shallow water dolphin interaction at Nassau and double watercraft ski adventure at CC.

A girl takes a day off to make some FE gifts and the thread moves 2 whole pages!!!

First off, I love bare minerals!!! Best stuff ever invented in my book!!

Secondly, I hate that I procrastinated on the FE gifts, lol. We worked for hours (of course stopping for coffee, snacks, puppy play time, dinner and kid play time) and we're still...gasp...not done! :scared1: We went with the divide and conquer route - my half is fully completed while we still have less than half on her half to complete. We ran out of a component needed and with it being Sunday we were stuck. Looking at the finished project though...WOW it was worth it! (Or so I think ;) Hope you guys like them as much as I do!)

On the bright side, we came up with an idea for that last demographic I haven't taken care of yet. I guess I'm too picky and just wasn't happy with what was available out there so we're just adding to the pile and making something.

When she realized it was a Disney cruise that we were making things for, she told her 6 year old son "Go tell Daddy that Cara is going on a Disney cruise!" His eyes about popped out of his head and he just said "ooooooooh!!!" and ran off to find daddy. They've never cruised and he wants to....she's saying it has to be Disney or nothing, lol. She's going to talk it over with him and have me book a dummy date for them while onboard as they want to go in 2014. She was quizzing me all afternoon which was awesome for me as it put me even more in vacation mode!

I can't believe we're down to the nitty gritty already!!! We leave two weeks from Tuesday! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Nick and I just spent this evening printing out our magnets... we had one made for the Disney Dreamers... If anyone is interested in one for your cabin door let me know, and we can print one for you!

Here is what it looks like... (it will print as a 5x7 magnet)

OMG you're killing me here :dancer:

And Michelle, this one's for you: :tinker: Good luck on the sales!!!!

Thanks. Had 3 emails about our chain link fence we listed for 75.00 and another on a pool floaty for 15.00. Hopefully these both will pan out tomorrow. I check email frequently, so been on a lot today will will so for the next few days. How oh how will I get anything done? It's way to tempting to read posts!

I loved Palo supper but DH loved the brunch more. I have to admit I'm a bit nervous about Remy. I looked at the menu and had to look up the definitions of some of the food.:rotfl: I think that'll be half the fun though. DH and I have never done anything like this and will probably never have the chance to do it again. I'd say I'm an average adventurous eater. :confused3 I've never heard of that, but it describes me. My saving grace is DH who will eat anything so nothing will go to waste!

You'll have to remind him to wash in seperste from whites and in COLD water or it'll all be gray!:rotfl2: Man, I sound like my Mom...

OK, I have a "newbie" question... When you are on the boat, can you actually feel it moving? It seems so big that it seems that maybe you wouldn't be able to tell it is...
Sometimes walking down the hall I would feel like I was drunk as it was hard to walk a straight line. And no, I hadn't been drinking yet!

I didn't like the rocking at night.

Your family sounds like mine with tolerating disney tshirts. Now that DS is 15 he won't wear them, so enjoy it while you can!:cool1:

Wow, I'm impressed at how much you guys post.

I seem to go in spurts, will post like crazy then not for over a week. It sure helps to share the excitement with others though. DH and DS's eyes begin to glass over I talk about it so much!
