GOOD FRIDAY MORNING/AFTERNOON EVERYONE!!!

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!!! Just had to throw that one in also.

Beckie - UF is another school Brittany wants to look at. We have to do some college visits this summer. We were supposed to do them this spring, but she was too busy seeing the boyfriend. Whenever you can add the info is fine I just thought I would give you an update.

Jeff - I know it is nice to meet someone on the boards before hand but they will also have a chance to meet in the club. My DD's have always been able to make friends while on board. Things have changed a little bit since we last sailed but they usually have a meet and get to know you type thing so they kids can meet the counselors and other kids in the club. It is usually held on the first night. Even though my DD is 10 she will play with anyone, but unfortunately they are not in the same club. I am sure Elizabeth will do great and have a wonderful time.

I am very excited for one of my students. He won at our national science fair and so we are traveling together to Indianapolis next week to compete in the Intel Internatinal Science and Engineering Fair. I have not been out that way before and I am not a racing fan(sorry Leilani and Beckie!) so I am not sure what I will do with my free time. I guess if I can find Internet access I can really do some trip planning.

to everyone for all their ideas and words of encouragement re the kids clubs, etc. We absolutely plan to take advantage of the opportunity to do the "meet and greet" in the clubs kind of thing, especially the family visit to Flounders.

You are right, my daughter Lizzie will do fine in the OC. Just had a meeting with her first grade teacher last week who marveled at how social she is - how she literally gets along with every kid in the class and at various times plays extensively with everyone of them -- and there are 20 other kids in the class. And the OC is probably the best place for her because although she does play with older kids, she seems to like playing with kids her own age and a tad younger a lot more.

Now the ideal situation would be if it was a few months from now and she and her sister could be together...but alas even if we could sneak Emily into the OC, she'd be with the 3s and i doubt that they'd let lizzie hang with the little ones.

Well...I have all ready made a list of ideas, I also ordered a few items from Oriental Trading yesterday for our younger DIS-members (for the adults also) they are to be delivered May 10th.

Yesterday when I returned home I had received a very large package from Oriental Trading. All the items are so colorful and tropical I can't wait until our cruise.

Of course you need to be very proud of your student !!! I'm a teacher too and can understand how you feel !!! ( I was very proud also of my DH -when he became MENSA member !! )

AND I think it will be nice for you to get a "short" vacation !!!

I have to tell all of you that Marco and I are having so much fun
creating - deleting- changing -creating OUR GROUP's MAGNET !!! we are spending on it most of our free time in the evenings !!!
Even sizes and "back" color are changing while more characters are added !!
Yesterday night ... the whole "thing" dramatically changed !!! LOL !!!!

So WE NOW WE'LL BE SEARCHING a suitable "spot" ALSO FOR DONALD , GOOFY , FIGMENT, CHIP N DALE ... and Mr. GRUMPY !!!!!

Of course we'll wait until every family has picked up "their" characters ...
Maybe Michelle would like to post her / her family's preferences when she gets back from her trip to Indianapolis !!!

Off to do "my" homework : about 60 compositions from my older students to mark / rate !!!

Me - Belle, I love her devotion to her dad and how she loves what is on the inside of a person
DH - Mickey, but a soft spot for Goofy too!
DD- Jessica- Cinderella, the princess whose prince comes riding in on a white horse, and no, I didn't encourage this fantasy, she has it all on her own!
DD - Christina - Jasmine, still a princess, but one with her own mind, independent and spunky.
Can you tell how different my two girls are!

I don't know how my student did, the awards are tonight and tomorrow. I do love Indianapolis and have had a great time here.
