I can't wait to see DGH's work! I know how much fun these kinds of projects can be as I've often done end of season video's for our summer swim team.

Anyway, I got DD Rachel's character request - Cinderella.

Can anybody make time go faster? I really just want to skip the next two months and get on the cruise.

It's a busy weekend around here, but I will try to find out everyone's favorite character for you today. We have "Fun Fair" at Alyssa's school tonight. Rich is an orthopedic surgeon and he has been asked to man the "ER". We will be putting thin casts on the kids forearms for fun. It should be pretty interesting. Unfortunately, it has turned cold and windy here so not a great day.

Tomorrow we have a soccer game and of course it is freezing. Then Britt has prom tomorrow night. So David is flying in today. I can't wait until he gets here because my princess is not a very nice person until he does.

Last but not least, I am trying to pack for my trip next week. I'm not sure when I will get to that, but I am sure it will get done.

Well, David did not get in last night because his flight out of Norfolk was delayed and he didn't make his connection in Chicago so he had to spend the night there. But he is on a flight as we speak so he should be here by 9am and Brittany is on her way to the airport to get him.

The "Fun Fair" went great last night and the casts were a hit. We actually ran out of plaster early in the evening so now we know for next year we need to have more plaster. It was funny seeing all the kids running around with casts on their arms.

I will try to post some pictures this weekend but I have never done that before so I will have to figure out how.

I went up to help my daughter pack up her room at college since they are closing her dorm and helped her move into the summer dorm. This will be our first summer apart. She has to do the cadaver dissection this summer at Hershey Medical Center so that she can complete her doctorate in physical therapy in 6 years. Anyway, the conversation turned to favorite disney characters and apparently I am mistaken! Cinderella is number two. Sleeping Beauty is number one, because and I quote, "you can be a princess and not even know it and her dress is pink".
My student in Indianapolis didn't win any big prizes, but it was still a great experience. He is a stutterer and so this was great for him. I'm sure it held him back at this level of judging.
Did everyone see that Disney is offering free dining plans, of course they start when we leave on the cruise. If anyone is staying after the cruise, it will help you out.
I won't have both my daughters for mother's day, but I am hoping Jess can come home in June since I turn 50!

Thanks Marco for the help with posting a picture. I'll have to see if I can do that before I leave for Scotland. If not I will do it when I get back.

I just made the parents reservations for Palo and shore excursions. I like that you can make these online now, but it also becomes a hassle when you have reservations with other people that can book at different times. We are in a suite so we could book at 105 days, but parents are CC members and could book at 90 days. So we have a reservation at Palo for dinner at 8:30pm and they have one at 7pm because that was all that was left. Now I will have to wait until we get on board and let concierge see if they can straighten out the mess. If they would let me book for more than 4 people it wouldn't be a problem. Oh well, I guess we will get it all figured out.

Now, I'm back to bed. Goodnight!

Hi everyone, never been on a board like this (Though have been reading) and Family and I have never been on any cruise. Huge Disney Fans sine I was 12 a long time ago but like it now as much as ever. DW, DD-12, DS-9 and me all excited about going and trying to figure out what to prepare, what to pack, what should I be doing that I haven't, etc, etc. Hope to talk to lots of you before and during cruise CANT WAIT

We are from Maryland too and there are two other families as well. We are in Howard County. We have been before and also can't wait.

I didn't get in on time to get Palo reservations, I waited too long to make up my mind. I guess we will have to be first in line. Does anyone have any suggestions? Where should we go to wait?

My older DD managed to come home for a few days and is heading back on Sunday for her summer anatomy class at the hospital. I just ordered some door decorations for our younger daughter which they say they will have up when we board. Her birthday is August 13. I think she will like that.

Went to my favorite Italian restaurant for Mother's Day, but Laura, my daugher tells me it is nothing like the incredible fresh food they serve in Italy. She doesn't like tomatoes, but she ate them in Italy and said they are delicious and the food is not expensive. Her teacher kept them off the beaten path, so they ate at many local restaurants and not the tourist places.

Glad to see we are staying on the front page.

Welcome! I represent one of the other Maryland families. Our DS will be 8 when we cruise and our DD is 14. Maybe we can get the two boys to exchange messages before the cruise so they will know each other when they get on board.

This is our first cruise too, and I can say I've learned a lot from this site. The only thing I think I have left to do is wait (and wait and wait) for August to get here.

Yes I did get the date wrong its August 12, 2006. Has anyone cruised before in August> Is the water calmer that time of year (except for hurricanes) or is it pretty much the same all the time? Where do you order door decorations? I'm at the office but I'll have to log on one night at home and get the DS's to e-mail. I hope they like staying in the Oceaneers Lab as much as some people have said. It would be great if that happened , I just picture getting paged every 10 minutes, we'll see .

Welcome! Our kids are the same ages! I have a DD 12 and a DS 9 also!
