Aug ppl - who has started packing? when are you going?

We stock up on toiletries before we go, so I've started putting those in my carryon. We're going to PA for a wedding right before we leave for WDW, so I'm going to start getting some other things ready tonight!!

We leave 2 weeks from today!!

Technically, I've just organized. DH would have me committed if he saw that I was starting to pack already. I am so excited (and worried/stressed) that I want to start packing now. This is our first major trip with both kids, plus the 2 weeks before we leave I think we have something planned every other day. I know that DMIL and DFIL will wait until the last minute to pack, so since we will be at their house the night before we leave, I will have to help them do all of that last minute (or we will never get out of the house on time to catch our flight). So I REALLY, REALLY want to start packing now, but alas, I know I won't until about 5 days before we leave. Which is Aug 30th, by the way. OK, well, after reading this thread I am at least going to go through all my stuff that I've bought already and then start making detailed packing lists. I really am obsessive!!!

I'm usually packed about a month in advance. This year I just can't seem to get my act together. Plus I busy trying to get the kids school clothes bought, working, keeping up with the house. Ugh! I think I just really need a vacation!

We leave in 18 days and haven't packed yet - scared it will make me even more excited and sleepless (if that's possible!). Have a "must buy" list to get this weekend and then I'll probably start packing it so I don't forget where I put all the stuff I need to take. We usually make a trip to Walmart while we're there for groceries, so I don't worry too much about forgetting little things. Still, counting the days till our 13 day trip back home!!!

We leave in 10 days. I will pack next Sunday. I have all of my Disney clothes in a separate section of the closet, so I just have to grab them and put them in the suitcase. I have 18 outfits that are all offlimits so they don't get stained or anything before we go. DS keeps WEARING his Disney clothes, so I will have to wash his stuff again next weekend then pack his things on Sunday, too.

DH is on his own. He will probably wait until Wednesday to pack because we leave on Thursday and it will give me stress if he waits. He likes that.

We leave on Aug. 10. I have started gathering and making piles. Tomorrow I will start ironing and packing. I don't know why I iron, I just can't help myself. I keep a master packing list spreadsheet in my computer and when it's time to pack I just print it out and check things off as I pack them.

I am done packing and I don't leave until the 16th of August....

I went and bought brand new toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, lotion and
little things that need to be packed at the last second...

The only thing I have to put in there is the hair brush because it's my favorite brush... can't go anywhere with out it...

Now what I have to do is make a sign for CSR ... The door sign or window I am not sure which one or should I do both?

Ok, ok, I'll confess! We bought two new sets of rolling suitcases a couple of weeks ago. I have also purchased some matching shirts for my three and my neice and nephew. I am forming piles in the living room. We leave Aug. 17.

have bought new matching carry on bag, tote, cosmetic case, well anything in my new vera bradley print so i have packed all my new bags ready for new clothes we will be the ones at the gf on the 24th in a sea of red and pink vera bradley bags!!!
mental notes and today begain the physical list of things to pack down to the color of the shirts i figured since my ticker said one month i should start need to stock pile the sunscreen and such have had a wedding shower or party every weekend for a while so i finaly have time to hunt down ponchos fans and all the first aid needs
happy packing everyone remember to roll your clothes it makes more room and they come out less wrinkled but as mom says who cares if im wrinkled i am never going to see these people from disney again you never know

I pulled out the suitcases today and put in everything that I've purchased so far, lol. I'm glad I did, I realized I didn't have enough suitcases!

I leave in 5 weeks. This weekend I will probably pull out the suitcases and start packing new clothes that won't be worn before the trip. I will also start packing my collapsable, rolling cooler. I use this to pack misc. items like beach towels, water, rain ponchos, fans, glow sticks, laundry detergent, ect. I start packing my own clothes about 3 weeks ahead of time. I match outfits and iron everything. I wear a uniform to work, so I don't wear a lot of my recreational clothes. They can be packed pretty early.

I like to buy my kids new underwear and socks. I just throw them in the suitcase still in the wrappers. I also iron all my kids T-shirts before I pack them. It's pretty crazy, since I never do that at home. I am usually last minute for everything, but I enjoy packing for my Disney trips.

The weirdest thing about packing this year is that I've lost 10lbs. I did weight watchers and it really worked, but a lot of my shorts are too big. I am too afraid that I will gain the weight back, so I am hesistant to buy new clothes. I may treat myself to a few new pairs of shorts before we leave.

I am perpetually Disney packed, just in case I should happen to win a free trip or something. One never knows. Have a Disney bag that always has ponchos, whatever obnoxious matching outfits I have made, trip away first aid items (added to every trip) park maps, and phone info. Grab some underwear and a toothbrush, print off the adrs, and I'm good to go!

I started packing about a week ago and we don't leave until the 29th! I even ironed a lot of stuff and I don't iron any other time unless I HAVE to! I have clothes in my big suitcase and toiletries in my smaller case!

I have lists and more lists that I keep going over and over. We leave in 28 days! I've just pulled out the suitcases. I have mugs, ponchos packed and some of the smaller items such as socks, shoes. I want to pack everything and leave right now. We'll be at CBR on 8/24, but we leave on the 8/22 for a short visit with my nephew in St. Pete's. Can't wait much longer. I'm having anxiety attacks and driving everyone nuts by non-stop talk of Disney!!!

We leave on the 12th and I'm going to start packing today. For now I just have to locate all of the luggage (we just moved so I'm still missing a few things, LOL), and I told the kids I want them to pick out their favorite summer outfits and we are going to pack all outfits in separate plastic bags so that every morning, each person only has to grab a bag and go get ready (I got this tip from someone here on the DIS and it is my favorite tip so far!!).
