Just checked the MK hours for our week in Aug. (21-28) and there is only one Spectromagic parade? Does that sound right??? Seems strange to me???

Of course that night is the night I had planned to go to MGM for Fantasmic and just booked a package last night......I guess I need to adjust the schedule.......

That sounds right to me. From what I can remember that 's how the schedule was when we were there in Aug 2002. And the night they do have Spectro it s very, very crowded.

I'm there the same week. There is spectro parade on Tuesday the 24th and sat the 28th. I WAS disappointed with the hours too.
:(

Yes, I noticed it too! I'm there August 21 - 27 and it's only showing that Tuesday and not Saturday, August 21.

I thought it was a guarantee that it was EVERY Saturday so I was pretty surprised.

I did some adjusting too because I've never seen it and would enjoy the chance to if we're up to it.

How early should we get there if it starts at 8:30p? I was thinkig entering the park by 6:30p??

Thanks!

Keep checking. When they first put these out they are still tweaking them. They very, very often change and more parades and fireworks are added.

I do think there is still quite a bit of room for that schedule to change. But as they add more and lengthen the hrs it means higher crowds are expected. Sometimes it's not a bad thing that they are offering less.

We will be at WDW from Aug 17 to 27. Hours look pretty good but I expect that they will add a Spectro on Saturday, the 21st.

Having gone two times in the last two years (in Jan. '03 and in May '02), the MK hours are much longer - we have been spoiled by the low crowds the times we went.

I think BAST is following my family. We are going Aug 16-26 and we went in Jan and May. Odd. I noticed the longer hours compared to other times we've visited. I'm a bit nervous about the crowds. We've never had a problem with them on our other visits.

I'm traveling to WDW in September...where can I find events and times for my September trip...when should I expect them to be available??

Thanks.

It was like that for June and then i checked the hours again before we leave and surprise!, they've added Spectro EVERY night, plus some nights two runs of it! I'd wait and check back again closer to your trip.

We are going in August because our oldest DD is now in school and I prefer not to take her out of school. I plan to rigorously follow the UG touring plans on this trip - I did not have to do so the two prior trips. I will also do the EMH hours and take afternoon breaks with my two kids - again something did not do previously (kids were great and would usually nap in the stroller).

Did they announce any more e-ride nites past Aug 13th? We're arriving on Aug 14th, and we all need some for the 2nd half of the month!!!

Don't fret. I think the longer hours are due to the fact that Wishes is offered every night, and in August, it's not dark enough until 8:30. So we are lucky that they keep MK open later. I don't think the longer MK hours are due to expected higher crowds as much as Wishes schedule (at least I've got my fingers crossed).

Anyway, if it's really crowded, no big whoop. We're going to WDW!!!!:sunny:

I'm going to WDW August 29, 2004 - September 3, 2004....anyone know what day or days the SpectroMagic parade is? The calander is only out for August not September and it says the parade is on Tuesday, which of course is the day we are NOT going to Magic Kingdom, we will be at Epcot! I don't know what to do. I love that parade. It's my boyfriend's first time to WDW & I really wanted him to see it!!!
