Well, Kathy...you had me fooled. You look great! All along, I'm imagining you as a little old gray haired lady. I guess just because of your screen name. Hmmm... talk about stereotyping!! Although there is a girl that lives next door to me that is 2 years younger than me and just became a grandma.
Dianna, welcome, and we will be praying for your son to be o.k. Hope he's fine and able to have a great time on the cruise.
It just hit me that we will already be in FL when we leave for the cruise. We usually have such an early flight and have to get up at 4 a.m. Sat. morning, then are pretty wiped out for the first day of the cruise. Although I never remember ever taking a nap. We must just always be running on adrenaline.
I've already warned my DH, Rob, that the stress will probably start kicking in and the bickering will start. He said it's already kicked in for him and that he knows we'll be fighting at dinner because he'll take the baby away from the table, etc. He's VERY cautious or overprotective. Not really of her, but if she fusses at all, he's outta there w/ her so as not to bother anyone. Which is good, but she's a pretty good kid for the most part, and he just overreacts. We'll see how it goes. I usually stress out because of cancelling the mail, paper, paying the bills, finishing up my loose ends at work, packing, etc. He just takes it all in and doesn't do anything. I need to start delegating. I think it was Marcie that said about cleaning before leaving. My b-i-l is complete opposite of his brother Rob, about neatness. His favorite day is garbage day, and my DH hasn't thrown out a magazine since 1974. For real! (he's a big time collector!) Anyhow, I'm sure they'll be peaking in rooms to stare in astonishment at his collections! So, we're trying to get everything cleaned up before we leave. On our last cruise, I was emptying the fridge and put a casserole down the drain into the garbage disposal and ended up clogging the drain...Grrr...one more thing to worry about. When we came home, it was unclogged. Whew!
I'm posting this pic of us from Christmas. Ava is 6 mos. older and her hair is longer. My hair will probably either be in a ponytail or pulled up, so I won't have that big mop. Plus I just got it cut a little yest. Rob looks exactly the same.
