Cast of Characters:

Melissa (23): Active Disney planner, Disney Freak, and Disney lover....
Ron (26): Becoming a Disney Freak, Loves to plan meals (because he loves to eat), Loves NOT missing Parades!

August 6th:
Today we were headed to MGM. Ron was a little apprehensive about Rockin' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. So I did my research before leaving and provided him with as much info as possible. I wanted him to enjoy the rides.

We woke around 7:15am and got ready to go. Ron decided to pass on Pop Tarts and we took a granola bar along for him. I ate my smore Pop Tart on the way to the bus stop. This morning we waited about 10 minutes for the bus to MGM. When we arrived, we waited in line at the turnstiles where we met another family from North Providence, Rhode Island. It was neat to meet someone who lived about 10 minutes from me in WDW.

When the park opened, we headed for Sunset BLVD. We waited from about 20 minutes at the rope drop and then made our way to Rockin Roller Coaster. We walked right on the ride. I was rather impressed with the pre show. I have to say I enjoyed it. As we boarded the coaster, I could feel myself become very excited. I knew Ron was still apprehensive, but he'd have to deal with it because we were ready to Rockin' Roll. The initial take off really gets your blood pumping. We both loved it and laughed the whole ride. When we got off the Coaster, we headed straight for TOT. We had almost no wait to get inside. Once inside there was about a 10 minute wait. I have to say our favorite part of this ride was when the doors open and you can see all of MGM and then you drop. It was awesome.

Now that the 2 major rides were done, Ron was ready for his granola bar. We headed to Millionaire. When we arrived there was about a half hour wait. So, I went to get us a drink and Ron waited in the front of the line. As I headed back to Millionaire, I decided to run to Little Mermaid and pick up a Fastpass, which was for 11-11:10. I knew Millionaire would be out around 11am. So, that was perfect. I went back to Millionaire and saw Ron in a diffeerent line. We had gotten passes to sit in the fastest finger seats! We were so excited. When the game began we couldn't stop smiling because we love Millionaire. We both made it into the top 10, which made me happy.

After plaing Who Wants to be a Millionaire? we headed for Little Mermaid. We made with a few minutes to spare on our Fastpass. I think Ron really liked this show. He thought the whole concept was cool with the rain and puppets. He was rather surprised when it began to rain inside the theatre. Since we were in the front row, we got a little mist!

After Mermaid, we decided we'd head towards Star Tours. Once there, we managed to get into the Fatspass line without Fatspasses. I guess we were not paying attention. So, when we got to where the CM was collecting them we began to turn back. She stopped us and let us through anyway. Without getting into this line, we would have waited about 20-25 minutes. We were thankful to her. We waited a few minutes and boarded the ride. This is another ride that I cannot help but laughing on. I don't know why, but I just do.

Since we were close to Indianna Jones Stunt Spectacular, we decided to go to the 12pm show. We had never done this before and were really impressed. I give those stunt people credit. Doing that show several times a day must be exhausting. Once the show began, I began snapping pictures. I think I took 12 pictures of the stunts. It was neat!

After this we decided we needed a swim break. We headed back to Port Orleans for a swim and nap. We had a 5pm PS at Brown Derby so we decided to head back to the parks around 4pm.

Once we arrived back at MGM, we had dinner as The Hollywood Brown Derby and were seated right away. I had the Rotisserie Half Chicken and Ron had the Barbecue Pork Tenderloin. By this time, it was thundering and lightening outside. It rained again during our meal. We enjoyed our meals, but, of course, we saved room for desert. We had the Butterscotch Parfait. We took our time because it was still drizzling outside.

After being full from dinner, we headed to the Great Movie Ride. We didn't realize that there are 2 different ways this ride can be done. (But I won't say anymore!) We loved this part. After this, we headed back to Millionaire. Ron wanted to play again. So, he played and I went to Rockin Roller Coaster.

We met up again around 8pm and headed to Fantasmic! When we arrived the theatre was getting full. We had seats that were in center "stage" and in the middle. The seats were perfect. Once the show began, I was mystified. It was awesome. It was a mixture of characters, lights, lasers, water, and fireworks. It was well worth it for us to stay and see it!

We then headed back to the hotel where we had a good night sleep.

August 7th:
Today we woke up early around 6:30 am. We had PS ressie's for Chef Mickey's at 8am. We took the bus from Port Orleans to MK and then picked up the monorail to the Comtemporary. We arrived ontime. I have never seen so much yummy food at a breakfast buffet. I had a doughnut, pancakes, cheese omlet and much more stuff....too much to think of now. We each had some coffee and juice. We also made sure to twirl our napkins high! I think Ron's highlight was getting a kiss from Minnie!

After breakfast, we headed to Blizzard Beach. Neither of us had been there before. We loved the waterpark. It was neat. Our first slide was the Downhill Double Dipper. We loved it. But Ron bruised his tailbone coming down the second dip. He had trouble sitting for the next few days! We hit the Rapids next. That big raft was neat. After all this excitement, it was time for the lazy river. I opted not to get a tube. I just hung onto Ron's tube. I actually pushed him around. Whenever the oppurtunity came about for me to get him wet with cold water, I took it. After this we decided to get dried off and sit in the sun a bit. We did this for a few minutes and headed for the wave pool. But it wasn't like I expected. I though it would have been more like the ocean. But it was still nice.

It was time to head back to the hotel to rest for E-night and dinner at Kona Cafe'. Ron took a nap and I shopped for my friends and family.

We headed to Kona around 5pm. We stopped at MK's City Hall to get our E-night tickets. We then took the Monorail to Kona at the Polynesian. We were seated right away. Ron had Beef Teriyaki and I had Chicken. After dinner, we ordered a press pot of Kona Coffee along with our desert, Kilauea Torte. By this time the rain had come and gone during the course of our meal.

We took the monorail back to MK and headed to Frontierland. We sat down in front of the Frontierland Shootin Arcade to stake out our spot for Spectromagic, which started at 9pm. We watched all the people ruching towards Mainstreet to catch the parade. We laughed because we had a perfect rope side view of the parade. It started a little after 9pm. It was a beautiful parade, although I am partial the Mainstreet Electrical Parade. After the parade, we headed to the Haunted Mansion. We rode it 3 times in a row because we love it. I looked for the ring but couldn't find it. We headed to Tomorrowland next and rode Space Mountain2 times. We decided to do the TTA. When it came time to get off, I asked if we had to get off if we wanted to ride again. The woman said yes, although there was no one in line or coming up the ramp. Oh well. We decided not to ride again because she was a bit rude. We headed back to Frontierland to ride BTMRR and Splash Mountain. By now it was nearly 1am and we decided to head home to rest up for out day at MK!

Sounds like you've been having a ball! We loved RnR and TOT! My DH is soooo bummed because RnR will be closed when he comes down in Sept (I am there a few days earlier and will get to ride it again) Fantasmic! is definately my favorite show at Disney - its just amazing! Really looking forward to millionare for the first time. Thanks for posting, I've been enjoying your reports.

It sounds like you are having a great time. I can't talk my DH into any character meals. He says they're just for kids. Maybe I'll just slip one in without him knowing. It sounds like so much fun. We get to do one enight too, it sounds like it wasn't crowded at all. Look forward to more reports.

every moment........I think that Blizzard Beach water is freezing and prefer Typhoon Lagoon....especially their wave pool.....now that is awesome......thanks a million for your great report.......
