Aug 27, 2012 Seattle to Skagway Sailing

Yay, Stephanie!!! Thanks so much for organizing all of this! :cheer2: But I'm not able to open the link - is there another way to access the document?

FINAL FE EXCHANGE NOTICES:

We are finalized and good to go! I've made a map for all the FE participants (http://www.stephaniecombs.com/fecabinmap.pdf) of each participant's cabin number and location - this should help ease your deliveries. PLEASE check to make sure I've correctly located your cabin and let me know if any changes need to be made.

If you upgrade your cabin, you will need to come to the meet & greet on Monday and let us know! I will have a list on my door (2111) with any cabin upgrades. In the event that we upgrade (unlikely, but you never know) I will be contacting David and Sarah and we'll get the word out. ;)

You rock!!!
I can't open the link either

@2MouseMoguls: Wow, the Roy! What are the chances of your fellow DIS'ers getting a sneak peak of what it looks like in there? How exciting!:goodvibes

Thanks David~! Sorry guys for not giving you the right link...

I was wondering the same thing, but wasn't sure if it was kosher to suggest it. But since you mentioned it... :hyper:

Enjoy your cruise. I will be headed out on one of my own, except this one will last months. As you wait to sail, keep an eye on the sea. I should be sailing by on the Stennis sometime in the afternoon. We leave on a several month deployment to parts unknown. Farewell and following seas.

Just off the ship this morning! Had a great time. Was sad not to spend more time with fellow Dis'ers, though was a treat to run into each other for brief chats throughout the cruise. But I tell ya. Getting off the ship has to be the worst birthday gift ever. *sigh*. Looking forward to chatting here and on Facebook about all our experiences. And photos too!

Edited to add: I can easily see why the Disney Wonder wins awards for the best customer service and friendliest crew. Disney never lets us down in that department, but this experience was exceptional.

What a wonderful cruise!!!! Just stopping by to thank everyone for the great fish extender gifts - we loved them all! Our boys were so excited to open them and it was so fun to see all of the creativity in our group. Thanks to Stephanie for organizing all of us and for providing that very helpful stateroom map. And so nice to meet some of you who caught us during our deliveries! Thanks again!

Clotho - we were in Studio Sea on Sunday night - our boys love Brother Bear and we wanted to let you know we enjoyed your singing! :)

Aw thanks! Wanna know a secret? It was one of my worst singing of the cruise because I was trying not to cry the entire time--I chose the song as an homage to being "on my way" home and it had me choked up the whole time. I am such a sap!!

Had anyone looked aft during the sail-away, they would have seen the Stennis. We sailed out of the sound behind the Wonder.

I took some pics from the flight deck. Eventually I will post them. Will be months from now probably as we are headed overseas for the forseeable future.

Hubby and I were back there for a little bit. Maybe too late to see the Stennis, though!

I have to agree. I didn't want to spend my birthday traveling home from what I correctly assumed would be my best vacation ever. So my mom and I spent an extra day in Seattle. Because of some bad east coast weather, it was a LONG trip home.

I want to thank everyone for the FE gifts, and extra thanks to Stephanie for arranging the whole thing.

Being from Kitsap County we know alot of sailors on the Stennis and my husband has a good friend that is a Chief on the Stennis, it was really fun seeing it as we sailed away. I am sure our cruise was much more fun than yours will be.

And your probably right.
