Have to finish up our MOA trip...

We are pretty regular eaters (ask Suzi and Mo... LOL) - but we can play it by ear if you'd like - I was just trying to give you some sort of time estimate.

Well if you really feel that way , except for the ADR, I could join you for all of it :thumbsup2

lunch is at 11:30...

We are calling her all 3. (Sam, Sami and Samantha) Just haven't decided on the spelling of Sami yet ;)

I love Long Island Medium. I watch it all the time.

I've been really busy at work so while I've been reading along each day I haven't had much time to post.

But I did have to say I am excited to see the auction bags. I am really intrigued to see the last one because I am definitely not a "girly" girl. :rotfl: Most of my favorites are male characters. I can't imagine you not getting bids on any of your bags!

So glad to hear she is doing better!

Yes, Walter Reed is a huge place! Once, when my middle son was an inpatient, we got 'lost' trying to find where we were supposed to be...we were outside in the employee parking lot and all we had to do was to go in the front door...unfortunately, we were no where near the front door! After what seemed like hours (which in reality was only about 30 minutes...but it was cold! and he was medicated in a way that made him want to sleep and he was 6 ..a bit big to carry!) ... an MP felt sorry for us and let us in a door we weren't supposed to go in and then directed us to an unsecure elevator.... After that we took a map every time we left the room!

I was very sad when I heard the rumors they were going to close it...I have some fond memories of that place...like my third child was born there... very glad they decided to leave it open...at least for now!

Nini

Actually Nini, they did close the old Walter Reed. This facility was the Bethesda Naval Medical Center. They moved the Walter Reed Army Hospital operations to Bethesda and renamed it the Walter Reed National Medical....something or other. We parked in the garage labelled "patient" parking - it was only when you got to the entrance that the sign said patient and visitor parking, but all spaces were marked "reserved patient parking". Then we had to walk through building nine to get to building 10, except there weren't any signs pointing the way. We asked 2 different people before we found the right building. LOL:cheer2:

Is Erin the lucky owner of the Mary Poppins bag? It is absolutely darling. You did a wonderful job with it. So many great details.

Can't wait to see all your auction items.

All your Dismeets are coming together :woohoo:

Glad to hear Kat is doing better and that her mom and dad can be with her.

THAT explains it! LOL... I will not bother to tell my husband that he was right! I was only at Bethesda for a few hours...that is where our med evac from Germany took us to board a bus to WRAMC ... and I was suffering from extreme jet lag...

Hi Ashley - thank you... How is little Jonah?

I love Long Island Medium. I watch it all the time.

I love all 3 names.

So, when ever you type (speaking of accents) - I picture you as having the same accent as the people in Long Island Medium...

Speaking of accents and names... I know we have had this conversation in the past - but it's been a while... So, in my MN "accent" I always pronounced your name like it is spelled - which was Chi-air-a... Then we had this conversation - well over a year ago - where someone asked you how to prounce your name... So then I was saying it as Key-air-a for the longest time. Then, while Suzi and Mo were here, they informed me that it should be Key-are-a... Which I happen to like the best. So, please tell me which one is right... I am slightly embarassed that I've been saying your name in my head for quite some time now, and saying it wrong.

I've been really busy at work so while I've been reading along each day I haven't had much time to post.

Hi Ariana! Glad to see you! :lovestruc I've been wondering where you've been. There are a few auction bags that aren't as girly as usual.

Yes, she is! Thank you.

Can't wait to see all your auction items.

Me too! I just hope I can finish what I'd like to finish before the end of the weekend - that's kind of my "cut off" date for myself.

All your Dismeets are coming together

I have so many this time.

Glad to hear Kat is doing better and that her mom and dad can be with her.

I agree!

Yay! I would love to see some pictures of him. Good luck cleaning the bag - let me know if you have any other questions.

Congrats!!! Can we see a picture?!?!

Ditto.

**********************************************************

I worked all day in my sewing room yesterday. I was planning to start my custom order bag, but by the time my load of laundry was done with the fabric in it, it was just too late in the day. :rolleyes1 I plan to work on it all day today to make up for it. :thumbsup2

Nothing else exciting at all... Seriously - it was just a boring day. :wizard:

How about if I post a calendar page, since I have nothing else to add...

Day 9... I know I have 2 Dismeets this day - but they have not been added to the uploaded version of this calendar page... One of them with LovesDumbo and the other with OregonmomtoWDW.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day - it's starting off bright and sunny here today. :thumbsup2

Not exactly like Theresa from li medium but probably pretty close. If you ever watched the movie Frequency that is my Queens accent down pat.

Suzi and Mo are right that is the correct pronunciation just like kiara in lion king 2. It is said differently in Italian but I can't describe it on the computer.

Now I was curious so: Chiara meaning and name origin

Chiara \chi(a)-ra\ as a girl's name is pronounced kee-AH-ra. It is of Italian and Latin origin, and the meaning of Chiara is "bright, famous". Variant of Clara. Name of several Italian saints, most notably Clare of Assisi (13th century), and follower of Francis of Assisi and founder of the order of nuns known as the Poor Clares. See also Ciara.

Chiara has 4 variant forms: Chiarina, Chiarra, Kiara and Kiarra.

For more information, see also the related name Claire.

Baby names that sound like Chiara are Cara, Kara, Kaira, Kaara, Carah, Caera, Cary, Cari, Caro, Kiera, Keira, Keara, Cora, Kira and Kirra.

View a list of the 4 names that reference Chiara.

Popularity of Chiara

Chiara is not a popular first name for women but a somewhat popular surname or last name for all people (#86787 out of 88799). (1990 U.S. Census)

FWIW in my mind I always say it like the bolded above and I love your DD's name all 3 versions Hope you are feeling better ...Ruthie

Wow, I go away from the DIS for a few days and there has been so many more pages onto part 2 of your PTR! As I said in my PM, my mom has been here the last week, doing her best to drive me crazy and frazzle the last bit of nerves I have left! My oldest 2 are now in Vegas with her for the next 3 weeks, so I have some time to recoup for when she brings them back in July!

The MP bag was beautiful...I would be SO scared to get it dirty though! Then again I have 3 boys, so getting dirty is part of my day!

I LOVED reading about the process you had for making your last auction bag...I like to see how the creative process works for you. I can't wait to see what you dream up with each new bag.

I hope you get what you want done in your sewing room done :)
How great with 2 DIS meet on day 9 of your trip :cool1:
