~ Aug 2013~ Sew what... We've gotta find a way back! Part I!!

I am so happy I was able to win the bag auction! I love it! Now. My only concern is that the summer auctions will be a theme that I can't resist! Not asking what they are though. Kat's dad and grandmother are both in Guam and she is definitely making good progress.

Charlie and I are headed to Gettysburg for the day. We've been trying to walk everyday and do something fun on the weekends, so this is our choice for the day. It will be fun as long as the rain holds off.

Loved the pics of V in the cart. That is something my kids would have done.

glad your niece is doing a better. About bidding on the bag... I felt the same way. Love the Jimmny bag (for sentimental reasons), but also want to see what the big auction holds. Congrats on winning the bag. :)

Just wanted to hop on and share my latest Wallpaper and countdown... I need a countdown for our MOA trip, but I can't find one I like well enough to install on my phone. :confused3

Okay,... I keep trying to figure out what the MOA is.... can't figure it. Initially I thought it must be a museum, or store, exhibit in your area, but I just can't figure it out.....so....do share....what is MOA?

Love the countdown & wallpaper

Oh poor Jeremy He's so so cute ! LadyLyons :sad2: yep things in 3 s heard it all my life hopefully you're good now Poor DH poor Jeremy my my hope your shoulder is nothing but strain or sprain you all NEED that cruise

Thank you! Shoulder pain seems to have diminished. We leave in the morning and we are all ready to go now!!!

It sounds like you have a good insurance company... I know that is something I always asked when my girls were little - is if they covered the car seats. It didn't used to be such a prevalent thing... I would get so angry when I was repeatedly given the blank stare, then I tried to explain that car seat companies required you to replace car seats after they had been in an accident. I am so happy to hear that the laws have changed in some states, because I really feel that is an important law. And yes - definately replace yours!

Yay for leaving on your cruise... Hopefully everything is settled by the time you get back. It's probably a good thing that you will be gone for a few days.

Awww... Poor Jeremy... He does look awful brave. I know I would have been bawling right along with him - I am such a wuss... I also cannot do any type of blood or wound cleaning - I get eeked out. Hopefully it heals fast and he is back to his old self in no time (if he's anything like my girls - he would have been back to normal when he left the ER).

If I don't see you again - have a great trip!!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

We do have a decent company and am glad we kept my policy when DH and I got married. I also was happy to hear about the replacement policy on the car seats. Now to just find the time to do it.

Thank you for all the well wishes we are ready to go and leaving in the morning. He was back to normal within minutes of the procedure we had an awesome male nurse who did everything he could to keep Jeremy smiling.

Hope you have a very productive week!!

I'm at the airport in Dallas waiting to board. I'm trying to get caught up, but still have lots to read. Love the figment bag!! Sorry about Josh's rib and back. Ooops, gotta go. We scored first class and they're starting to board. I'll try to catch up later today.

I replied yesterday - but glad you had a safe trip and happy to have you back. I hope you enjoyed your time with the family.

I loved the auction bag and of course I forgot about putting in a second bid LOL. Oh well another day.

Good luck with your sewing.

No worries... Thanks!

Your bag looked great and I was tempted to bid on it so I do understand that you wanted to keep it yourself. But I ended up not bidding because I already have a bag and if I'm going to use that much money on another bag it has to be a bag with Eeyore on it

Totally understand.

What a shame that you didn't get to the wedding. My car makes this awful noise if only one window is open. But if I open two windows (it doesn't have to be opened much) the noise disappears.

Yah, we tried as many combos as we could, and all we could tolerate is one window - just a little over a crack... which was doing nothing for us.

What a great solution to have V in a cart so she didn't have to spend time in the car waiting. The pictures of V in the car are funny

Thanks!

My stomach react on Mexican food as well. So I don't like to eat it. I haven't found out what exactly I'm reacting on so I just stay away from spicy food.

It sounds like that is what I am going to have to do... Such a bummer because I love Mexican!

I hope you get what you want done in your sewing room.

I did make a viliant effort... back at it again today.

Had to jump on to see the shoe pictures!!! I LOVE them!!!! She is so beautiful D what an amazing daughter..

Ok have tons to do so will be back tomorrow!!!

11 days..

LOL Glad you liked the shoes. :thumbsup2 Thanks Mo!

Can't wait!!!

Ladylyons - I am so sorry you are having the 3's. I find they tend to turn to 3 good things after a bit. Hopefully, you too will find that. Your sons ear looks so sore! Poor baby. One of mine got bit by a dog right at the outside corner of his eye, I remember how I just wanted to hold him while the doctor stitched it. Mine too was very brave, didn't move an inch, didn't make crying noises, just the tears pouring down his face. Still thinking of it breaks my heart. And that was about 15 years ago.

D~ sorry you weren't able to make it to the wedding. At least it seems you had some laughs, which always helps make the day better. Your daughter is so beautiful, even being silly in that carriage. I love seeing parents being silly with their kids.

Thanks! I know - I felt horrible, I really wanted to be there. If only I felt comfortable driving a stick through the Cities, I would have come home, taken the top off the Jeep and driven that... LOL

I am so happy I was able to win the bag auction! I love it! Now. My only concern is that the summer auctions will be a theme that I can't resist! Not asking what they are though. Kat's dad and grandmother are both in Guam and she is definitely making good progress.

I will start revealing little bits about the BIG June auction after Suzi and Mo leave.

So glad to hear that Kat is making good progress and she has family near her. :grouphug:

Have fun in Gettysburg... I have never been. Good for you to be walking every day - that is something I plan to do with the girls once summer vacation starts in a few weeks.

That countdown is great. I used it myself to countdown to my trip
The wallpaper looks great. Have you taken the picture yourself?

Yes, I did take that picture... It was taken right after we got off of our float at AG when we were in the parade. Donald was right in front of us and we were part of his group. :thumbsup2

Which app is this?

Nini

It's for the Android market and it's called Disney Vacation Countdown. You can get it in the Google Play store. I wish someone would make some much cuter vacation tickers for the Android market though... I'd even like something like the one I have below - simple, yet readable.

Home now and finally caught up. I adore the Jimminy bag. I always get teary when I hear him talk before Wishes.

Thank you - me too!

V looked so beautiful all dressed for her dance. So glad she had a fun time. It IS difficult to see them growing up before your eyes. But you have made and are making wonderful memories that will keep you all close, even after they've grown up and gone their own way.

I sure hope so... It's something I worry about - as I am sure every mom does.

I'm sort of surprised at the pain you still have when eating mexican. I would have thought the gall bladder surgery would have taken care of that. Bummer! But, V in the cart after Applebee's was priceless! Love all the zaniness!!

Me too - I was really hoping it would be gone. I pain is different, but VERY similar - if that makes any sense?

Thanks - we are way too goofy sometimes...

Terry: So glad your great-niece is improving and has loved ones by her side now. She is in my prayers for sure! (and congrats on scoring the auction bag!!!)

Sandra: How awful to be in an accident, especially just before your trip!! So very glad none of you were seriously hurt. Hopefully the shoulder won't give you trouble for long. Jeremy must be an unlucky name for ears! Our Jeremy was pushed at school when he was in 2nd grade and became airborne and landed on his ear on the metal edge of a table in the classroom. Almost severed the top of his ear. Had to call in a plastic surgeon after 3 er docs wouldn't touch it. Twenty-two stitches later, we were on our way home. Hope your Jeremy does well and heals quickly!! (what a cutie!)

Hope everyone has a great week!

You too!

V in the cart is :rotfl2:! I've been there with shoes before and I wish I had thought of the cart trick!

The cart trick is great - you just need to find someone willing to push you... :scratchin

glad your niece is doing a better. About bidding on the bag... I felt the same way. Love the Jimmny bag (for sentimental reasons), but also want to see what the big auction holds. Congrats on winning the bag.

I sure hope you all like the June offerings... HOpefully there is a little something for everyone...

The MOA is the Mall of America in MN. :thumbsup2

MOA = Mall of America!

**********************************************************

I worked in my sewing room all day yesterday... I finally finished the bag! WHOOT! I have about an hour's worth of work to do yet on the wallet... Then I will take pictures, and get it in the mail - on time! WHOOT! This was a very difficult bag for me... mostly because I had to hand draw the entire applique and decide what details I was keeping - and which ones I just couldn't do. In the end, I am happy with it, and I hope the person who ordered it loves it too. I will be posting pictures later today.

Josh was at the lake all weekend, so I told myself I would work in my sewing room until he came home yesterday... He made it just in time, because we had storms last night. They rolled through very quickly - but they were intense there for a few minutes. No hail or tornadoes, but heavy rain and wind.

Today, I plan to finish that wallet right away... Then I will be starting on my next custom order bag set. I also plan to go back to work on my BIG auction items.... I still have 2 more full bag sets to complete, and a few more accessories. I wanted to have everything done by the time Suzi and Mo got here - but I just don't think that will happen. Even with next week off...

Have a wonderful day today everyone - all of you are in my thoughts and prayers today. :grouphug:

GRRR...somehow I KNEW you were going to say it was Android specific. I think I had it last year...but now that we have changed to an IPhone I can't find a good one...

Thanks anyway...

I have one called WDW countdown on my iPhone that I use and like. You can customize it too.

We had a great time in Gettysburg - its only about an hour from home. No rain while we were there and we got a great walk through the National Cemetary. Came home and finished planting the strawberries. :cheer2: So the garden is almost finished, just need to get a couple of cucumber plants, which I'll do after work today.

can't do quoting today. My brain won't allow it. :coffee:
I LOVE love love her dress!!! the shoes are awesome!!! have her walk in them with socks. that will help break in the shoes. (little late on that) and i LOVE MUDD shoes too. they last!!!
OK the cart... I WAS LAUGHING SO HARD!!! :rotfl2: first her in the cart is a darn riot but the BUMPERS!!! what a FANTASTIC idea!!! i must do this.. I will do this. She did look beautiful for the wedding!
My car does that SAME noise with the windows! where your head feels like it will explode?!? yeah i totally get it.
So the comment on your waiting until we LEAVE for the hints on the big auction. :lmao: what?!?! i can take this so many ways!!!

10 Days for the epic shop-a-sleep-a-pictures-a-birthday-apalooza!
moa trip :cheer2:

Take that back... Just wrecked the wallet applique... Back to square one... Sigh.

D~

Can't wait to see photos:cheer2: Oops sorry about the wallet:scratchin
I sure hope you don't end up referring to my bag as the: Bag from ****:rotfl2::rotfl: Sorry I couldn't resist saying that! Hope it doesn't offend anyone:goodvibes

So sorry you missed the wedding, my car makes a terrible sound also when a window is down:confused3. Love the cart situation, :lmao:

Good Luck!
Monica

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I can't stop....and it got worse the :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: when I got to the picture with the toes sticking out in front of the cart. You sure made my Monday.

I'm sorry you didn't make the wedding, and I'm sorry the Mexican food seems to give you problems (I don't eat it so I can't offer what it might be that is causing it).

Glad Josh made it home safely; we had some tornado warnings around us all of last night. :scared1:

Yup... You heard me right... I knew this bag would be hard when I first took the order - but when have I ever turned down a challenge?

Big thanks goes out to Nini and her dd (Miss B.) for helping with some of the final detail work - This bag wouldn't be nearly as "decked out" if it wasn't for their help and advice.

Also, big thanks goes out to Mo today... who kept me calm and urged me on after I'd wrecked the wallet this morning... Thanks for being honest Mo!

So... Here ya go...

OMGosh:cheer2: I LOVE IT:cool1: Can't wait to see it in person & go visit the GF in late November wearing this:). I never would have guessed pink, it looks beautiful. Thank you sooo much! I love the interior fabric & the wallet too:cool1:
Thanks to the other girls input also:grouphug:!

Monica:goodvibes

Once again you've out done yourself D~! That bag is just beautiful! It will perfect for the Christmas season at the GF.

OK, so I broke down and ordered the PE 770 - it was either that or I would end up throwing my machine out the window of the sewing room...:scared:
I am SO frustrated with it right now. I ended up just turning it off last night and leaving the room.

:crazy2:
