It's a rainy day here in southeastern Virginia too. But I have a lunch planned with a friend that I haven't seen in almost a year (she moved to PA) so that's keeping me positive! Hope your day goes well at work and that Josh's truck can easily be fixed!
HOpe your lunch was fantastic!!
I LOVE the turning of the calendar page always feels like a fresh start and a clean slate, sort of like a new year May today be glorious to you all OK gotta get a move on just wanted to check in & say Hi
Hi RuthIE!

Good Morning!
your a work-a-holic! then again i would be doing the same to pay for my trip!!! is it true your supposed to get snow today?!?!? we will be at about 80! this keeps up may change this trip to stay in CHICAGO!
I know - I have to be right now... Pressing times call for pressing measures...
Yes, we got snow...

I'm here! I read every morning but I usually don't have anything to add so I don't always post. I did just realize that I never commented on how much I loved the lastest bag. Of course I always love them so here's a second opinion. I sent the pictures to Mom and she replied back:
"i love it, too ! she is soooo talented ! wow ! love the little bucket hanging from purse."
Awesome!! Thanks Ariana! And thank your mom too - that was so nice of her to say!

I'm here too. I bought myself a new camera - a beginners dslr -so that I can experiment some with picture taking - never one of my strong points. Somehow I always forget that I have a camera...
Awesome! I am considering a new camera for our trip... Just another p&S Cannon, I really like mine, and I don't need anything fancier - if I do, I can use Alli's.

Anyway, I'm hoping to use your camera bag insert for inspiration to make one for my new camera. I know that I have a camera bag "somewhere" in my house - probably buried somewhere in the "office" - but I don't want a camera bag, just an insert for my new park bag. I don't want to make it exactly like yours, just use yours for inspiration! I also want to make it waterproof and add inside pockets for phones, chargers, etc. that I wouldn't want to get wet.
I am planning to do Alli's park bag partially water proof this time. I am interested to see what you come up with.

One of my co-workers talked me into going to a quilt guild meeting last night. I used to belong to this guild but the meetings were just too far to go - over an hour from home - after working all day. Well, they moved their meeting place closer, so I decided to join up again. I forgot how much fun they were.
That does sound like fun - I assume you quilt when you go there? I've never heard of this, so I am just guessing.
Hope its nothing serious with the truck. Ours needs to go in for a tune up soon, so I can get the camper in for inspection. Its always something!
Have fun at Target today!
Me too, Josh hasn't even had a chance to look at it with all the snow we got yesterday - hopefully this weekend?
How great that you got so much done in your sewing room.
I hope you can fix the truck in a budget friendly way. It's not fun when things like this happens.
Me too - thanks!
TOTAL HIJACKING!
this always get my attention!!! what kind of camera!
LOL
I am getting a new DSLR for Mothers Day and have to give DH my final choice this week. I have it narrowed down to a Canon and a Nikon.
D I am still here and reading. You know it has been crazy for me but things are finally calming down.
Can't wait to see what you decide on for a camera - I know you have been doing a lot of reasearch.
I know your life has been incredible lately... Please know you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Mark is feeling better, thank you. Yes, he had 7 games last weekend. This is a quiet weekend...which is probably just as well because it is supposed to rain all weekend. But then he has 85 games so far scheduled for the rest of May and June. It is our vacation spending money.
Mark umpires for Disney... I sew for Disney... Mark and I are a lot alike.

Sounds like you had a productive day in your sewing room.
I'm sorry it is raining by you. It is 80 and beautiful here today; but we will have rain the rest of the week through weekend and much cooler temperatures
Yah - I've just decided not to look outside for a long time...

Thanks for the reminder about turning the page on the calendar. I better do that so I don't forget my dentist appt tomorrow.
Sounds like a busy sewing day. I have been doing a bit of sewing lately. I finished a tote I started before spring break but I don't love the finished project. It was going to be for my mother in law but I don't think she will use it so I will give it to my sister in law.
Awesome!!! I am glad you've been able to complete a few projects! Did you post pics of the tote?
I think you have lots of new stuff on your list. I am the same way, always have to do the favorites and then hope to squeeze in something new for my DH. His Disney days are numbered BUT I am going to save that Disney commercial about the teenage daughter that will only be "seen" with her dad at WDW. Hopefully that will get us to Disney if he ever needs more convincing.
LOL - good luck - that didn't work for me.

Hope that later ADR will pop up for LTT. They would probably even take you if you got there a bit late. Maybe????
I hope so... I know we are going to be pushing it.
Hi D~ I'm still here. My computer keeps logging me out, so I haven't posted much. Sorry to hear about your truck. Hope it is an inexpensive repair.
Me too... If it's a fuel filter, it's an easy fix... If it's the fuel pump - well, Josh will have to take off the whole truck bed to access the tank, then disassemble the tank... Sigh - that would be a 6+ person job...

good for you getting so much sewing done!
I am looking forward to your big auction. But do you think you could send me a pm when you get a minute (yeah, like you get a minute. ... But could you squeeze one in any way) & tell me how it works?
Just now seeing this - yes, I will send you a PM>

I went to our local Target today. I was actually exchanging a dress I bought for DD yesterday. We opened a red card. But, after we applied for it, I mentioned using it for gift cards & the woman said we can't. I will verify with the other store locally. Anyway, I bought a ton more stuff today. Way more than I should of, but, the entire family needs something to wear to DS's graduation. So... Anyway, I didn't have the redcard (DH has it), but the kid said I could come back later the same day and get the 5%. Which I am planning to do. But, this is the thing. I almost ALWAYS have a good experience with Target employees. This kid today though... he literally stuffed all the clothes in the bags! polo type shirts, shorts, 2 dresses (matching for my DD's. their idea, not mine, BUT I LOVE IT). I couldn't believe it. He asked if I wanted the hangers, to which I said no. Then I looked in the bag, because it seemed....bumpy (for lack of a better description). And there they were, crumbled up like my son's dirty laundry.I just giggled, wondering what kind of mess this kids mom must have to pick up. I thought , wow I will have to mention this to D. haha see I am thinking of all you disboarders even in my every day life.
Happy May to you all also! Rainy or not, I hope everyoned day is filled with a little sunshine.![]()
YIKES... That does sound like a mess of a bag. I always take off all hangers while I am waiting in any check out lane... if the cashiers have any ideas of giving me their hangers - they are sadly mistaken... One of my biggest pet peeves is cheap plastic hangers (especially Walmart ones) - and an even bigger pet peeve is having to throw them away when I get home. So, I just save everyone the hassle and dehanger in line.

Deesknee....if you ask about the Dis gift cards using the red card, they say no. But it works. So advice is.don't ask, just run the card, the discount will work. Start out buying 1 card if you feel more comfortable that way.
YOu are so right... Because for TARGET GCs - you do not get the discount. So, most Team Members assume it's the same for all GCs sold. That is not the case - the disount does come off and it's nice.

I looked at both the Canon and the Nikon - my daughter has a Canon and my brother has a Nikon and they are both very nice cameras - too nice for me. I bought myself a Fujifilm S4500. A nice beginner type that I can learn with that did not cost too much. It has auto focus and also manual focus. I'm going to Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia on Friday for a seminar and a ticket to the gardens is included. I'd like to go and take pictures of the flowers.
I also ordered a "Digital Photography for Dummies" book, which should be here by Friday.
Awesome!

Yay - all caught up on my PTR!
