~ Aug 2013~ Sew what... We've gotta find a way back! Part I!!

I wouldn't complain on not getting to use all the coupons. But I would complain about how rude the cashier was to you. The cashier could have told you their policy in a nice way.

I know I should - but the more I think about it, the more I tell myself that I should just let it go. I know that she should be repremanded, but the odds of that are 0... However, if she does it again - I will complain. From here on out, I will be super careful with how I coupon, to insure that I will only purchase 1 of each item. It will spread out my shopping more, but it will be OK.

I hope you have a great trip with Josh on the Jeep

Thanks! We did not end up going out in the Jeep yesterday... It started raining about the time we wanted to go. Maybe next weekend. :thumbsup2

How is Alli's foot?

It seems to be doing much better. I plan to get her back in to the Dr. later this week to see if she can be cleared - at least for a little bit of activity.

You really used your sewing magic on that Mickey bag. The appliques are fabulous but I can't believe you did the zipper pull while it was attached to the bag. I am beyond impressed. I would have been sweating. LOL.

Thanks Liz! I wasn't really sweating... I just had to work a little slower than normal to make sure the needle was clear. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be.... The hardest part was realizing I needed to attach it to the zipper before I appliqued. LOL

Having the auctions together is a good idea so people can do all their bidding at one time. I can understand why bidding might fall off since people forget or get busy. Just be sure not to have the last one end too late.

Well, since they will end on a Saturday - I will probably end them in the morning. I am sure that people won't want to wait around all day for the auctions to end, and on top of that - I know how life gets sometimes, and weekends are busy, so if I ended them in the evening, people might forget... :scratchin

Hmmmm, the Target coupon policy is a bit vague but I thimk it states you can use 4 coupons. You just can't use 4 of the Target printable coupons since the one per guest restriction is printed on that coupon. So you could use one Target coupon and 3 manufacturer coupons. ????? But then they put in the whole "we reserve the right to refuse any coupon" and then it makes it so you don't have way to enforce their policy as a customer. Although I think that as a corporation they put that on there to limit abuse and to prevent people from using copies, fakes and buying a ton of multiples that clear the shelves. It seems like the manager could just say "sorry we refuse" but as a customer I think they should at least have a good reason and not just use that policy because they don't like couponers or because they want to feel empowered. So frustrating because you never know if they will refuse you or not. Sounds like they are on the hunt for couponers in that store. I would think that stores in the backyard of their HQ would be a showcase for customer service. Blahhhh, sorry for the term paper.

Normally they are a showcase for customer service, but... Well... I just don't get that coupon policy... It's almost as if they are luring people in to the stores to use coupons, but when you get to the check out - you can only use one. Which makes no sense...

Hope you enjoy your jeep ride! That sounds like fun.

We had rain yesterday, just as soon as we were going to go... So, no Jeep ride for us.

Curtis and I washed all the pollen off our front porch the other day so we got to eat our dinner there the other night. It was perfect. Those brats will taste like summer! Enjoy your day.

Fun! I still have to get our front porch and back deck cleaned off... But we did get to have brats on the grill - and they were wonderful!

I was asking if the auction site is as big as eBay meaning exposure to a gazillion people then you said the auctions are held on your fan page ...on FB you mean right ? So only people that can participate in bidding are FB members and specifically people that know you...I think I understand this now and long story short I was trying to rationalize the bidding process ie- as practically all of us know, on eBay you can look at an auction for ending a week from now but put in your maximum bid & the system will do it for you without waiting around babysitting the site Does the auction on fan pages work that way ? Presuming that it does NOT is why I gave the opinion of auctions ending 5 minutes apart wasn't the best...maybe I should bow out of this with my opinion

No, Facebook does not do that. However - all of my auctions would be right there on my fan page, so it would take less than 10 seconds to get from one auction to another... I will probably do them in their own album, so that they don't get all bumped around by time stamps.

You DID say the hassle at Target was a cashier that was a lead in your original posting ..considering that, you are a Target employee and I'm afraid there will be some kind of retaliation (a Target on your back NO pun intended, seriously) if you complain

I kind of agree with you Ruthie - and I am a little hesitant because of that.

Stinks and she SHOULD be reported BUT realistically this control freak personality exists in every walk of life in every work place I've seen it with govt employees and civilian employees I've seen it everywhere (been working for 42 years) and its never going to change

I know...

You can react emotionally ( and I get that she treated you like something she discovered on the bottom of her shoe) or you can take some time to think about this, is she going to change ? Will HR fire her or re-train her ? How do you re-train someone to be NICE ?? Thats all I have to say about that Forrest Gump

Exactly...

Spring is definitely here

The first picture you have seen before. I just want to refresh your memory and show you how much snow it was on 7.April

And here is a picture taken today on 28.April

LOVE it!!! So glad the snow finally stopped for you and it's mostly gone now. Yay for spring!

I agree Target has to clarify their coupon policy. And as someone else mentioned, I think they need to use the word manufacturer vs. store coupon. That said, Yes, I would complain. I try to live by, say what you mean, mean what you say, BUT don't be mean when you say it. My first sentence would consist of telling them that you work in retail and although you understand coupons can get confusing, they as a responsible retailer need to clarify their coupon policy to keep the customer & employee from becoming frustrated. Then I would go on to say how you understand how the employee must get frustrated with the confusion the coupon policy must create, but she should be able to contain that frustration to a customer, ESPECIALLY if she is a store lead.
That is my 2 cents.

I agree with you completely. However... If I worked for anyone but them, I would do it in a heartbeat. I have issues doing it otherwise.

I've worked in customer service for over 25 years. Everything from cashier, to security office personal, to phone customer service. I have been yelled at, swore at, even spit at, and I can honestly say, I have never been reported to have treated a customer poorly. Actually, that is not true once a customer complained because I didn't sell liquor to him. (he was providing it to minors), he tried to say I was rude, The boss examined the video and said I was nothing but pleasant, and did the right thing. After they leave I might take a little private rant, but not in front of the customer and never AT the customer.

Yes... Exactly. I've been spit at once too... I puked. :scared:

Good for you going back and getting the items you were forced to put back. I agree why allow 2 to be printed, but only 1 to be used. That's crazy.

Have a fun day Jeeping. :)

Dee

Yes, it was an awesome feeling to be able to do that.

We didn't get to go Jeeping yesterday, it started raining just as we were going to leave...

Absolutely -She should not be in a lead position if she cannot explain policies to the satisfaction of the customer - especally internally. And even if she's a lead/supervisor, there's going to be someone superior to her. And I would hope that Target empowers their employees enough to let them be flexible with their policies when service requires it.

They normally do empower their employees to be flexible... However, I do think this particular person was trying to make an example of me.

I'd also like to agree with RuthIE about how you can't train somenone to be nice. And once a person is promoted to a position of incompetence it's tough to get them where they are competant again. (She may have been an ace cashier, but the little bit of power given to her has gone straight to her head and she likes to prove points - remember power corrupts.)

Yes! This makes perfect sense!

Ultimately, you probably should bring it to corporate's attention that their couponing polocy is contradictory and difficult for their own employees to follow/enforce.

I may do it as an employee, but not necessarily as a guest - if that makes sense?

Glad you were abl to get things done before fixing issues at the store. And hope your day was great and not damp. It's raining here.

Thanks Ruth! It did start raining here yesterday afternoon...

Oh!!! I just adore your new bag set!!

Thanks Alicia!

I'm baaaack! What a crazy 10 days. I got home from a week in Virginia, (which was so fun and so much work!) was home less than 24 hours and left for our son's home which is 2 1/2 hours west of us. We wanted to support our DDIL while she ran her very first 1/2 marathon. So we stood out in the rain for hours to glimpse her twice. We got home tonight around 4pm.

Welcome back Lois! Congratulations to your DDIL! What an awesome accomplishment!

Let me just say, I LOVE that latest bag! Back in 1999 we stayed at All Star Movies and we loved that Sorcerer Mickey at the pool and our balcony had the mops and buckets on them. You did a fantastic job as always! It took a while to catch up on everything, but you sure have been getting a lot done. And I'll add my 2 cents about the auctions and say putting them up 5 minutes apart makes total sense to me. Seems like a very efficient way to do it.

Thanks! And I also think that 5 minutes apart will be very efficient... Now if I can just get everything done - on top of getting everything else done. LOL

I saw your question about whether you could get the lunch menu with a 4:00 adr, and I would say probably not. But I have no experience along those lines, so it's just a guess. Dan and I make arrival day ADRs almost every trip. We haven't had trouble getting to them on time. Well, we were 5 minutes late to Le Cellier when the airlines changed the time of our flight once, but it wasn't a problem. I love that you're trying the Rose & Crown. I had the steak and it was delish! They made a huge deal for my birthday and gave me a crown that the wait staff signed. It was pretty neat.

I am pretty sure that we wouldn't be able to get lunch with a 4pm table. Right now, my adr is at 2:50... Realistically - I think we could make it there by that time, provided our flight is on time. It's going to be close though, and we won't even be able to take a breath in MK - because we will have to bee-line to LTT.

I read all the pages I missed, but there's just too much to comment on. Loved the cupcakes V made for her big sis! I made those when I was young too. Glad Allie is getting better and had a fun shopping trip. Tangled is one of my favorite movies too! Don't you just love when true grilling season starts??

I know... Sorry there is so much to catch up on... Thanks for trying though. :) And thanks for all the well wishes... And we LOVE grilling. We just ordered a hog, and I think I need to order more hamburger too... We will have pleanty to grill this summer. :thumbsup2

Dan, unfortunately, is still having quite a bit of pain in his jaw. He went back to the doctor on Friday and they said keep rinsing with salt water. He wants to check him again this Friday. Thank goodness for pain pills to get him through.

Oh no!!! I was so hoping he was better by now. I will continue to keep him in our prayers!

I have 6 days at home and then I'll be traveling with my DD and her family to Colorado. It will take 4 days to get there and I'll stay a week to help her get her house in order (somewhat). Then I'll fly home via Dallas and visit with my sister there for 4 days before flying home. Dan will meet me in Dallas. Then the following weekend, we're going back to Virginia so Dan can help our DSIL who is finishing their basement. I'll be the crazy lady running around in circles mumbling, where did May go?

Your schedule is CRAZY!!! Seriously... You are going to be all over the country in a matter of weeks!

I'm glad Maxine is doing okay and that RuthIE is mending from her latest adventure...

Me too... princess:

So glad to see so much of the snow has melted for you, Terkina. What a difference in those pictures!

I'm sorry that person was so rude to you at Target. She must be a very unhappy individual. I'd say just move on, and don't waste one more minute thinking about her. In fact, I'd say a little prayer for her and then go back to my own fabulous life chock full of great friends and wonderful family

Have a great week in the sewing room! (sorry this is so long!!)

Thanks Lois! Glad to see you back, and glad you had a great trip.

**********************************************************

I had a really great day yesterday, and I was able to accomplish a lot.

I started off in my sewing room. I finished the applique on the wallet that coordinates with the 2nd bag set. Over the weekend, I also started on the 3rd bag set... It's cut out, quilted and the applique is on - but it still needs to be stitched. I really hope I can devote, at least, 30 minutes to it every afternoon - that would go a long way towards completing my goal. In all honesty - I want to have all 5 sets done before Suzi and Mo get here at the end of May. I am pretty doubtful that will happen - but it's my goal. That would give me 3 weeks to take pictures and get the auctions written up. :scratchin So far, I am very pleased with how these sets are turning out though... They are themed on some pretty fun characters, who are well liked, but not often used. If that makes any sense - with out giving anything away. :)

Once I was done in my sewing room... The girls and I started cleaning. I hate to say that our house was out of sorts - but it truly was. With everything going on over the last few weeks - the house has taken a very back burner. We were able to do an entire once over in the livingroom - and it so badly needed it. We also did the remainder of the kitchen (after dishes were turned over)... I still need to bleach my floors, but I hope to get that done this coming weekend. Then, the dreaded office... I just don't even want to open my eyes in here - it's awful. I just tell myself that everyone's office is trashed and it makes me feel better - because in all my life, I have never seen a clean one. LOL

Josh and I were going to go for a Jeep ride - but just as we were talking about leaving, the rain started to move in.

We did manage to grill dinner though, between rain storms... And it was magnificant!!! We still need to clean off the front porch and the back deck - but I also hope to do that in the next week or two.

Last night, I cleaned my sewing room... I BADLY need new fabric shelves - I have so much fabric, and no where to put it. I may end up caving and getting a new shelf before I pay off our trip - I hate to do that, but I really have no where to put fabric. :crazy2:

I will be starting my next custom order this morning... My next 3 coming up are very intense, and I am quite nervous about them. I hope they go smoothly.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend... And those that needed to recouperate were able to do so. Have a wonderful day everyone. :)

D~

i don't know where to start! :confused3
I also REALLY REALLY hope you have the action bags ready for the MOA trip.. and if your missing one of them..... umm.......... Suzi did it.......... :duck:

How is Alli's ankle???

Wow, you can't even tell there is a Mountain or lake in the first picture. What a beautiful view when the sun is shining.

Lois - you have been busy. I do hope your DH starts to feel better. I wish the doctors were able to do something more for him.

D~ You had a busy weekend. Glad to hear you got so much done around the house and on the sewing front. I'm sure you are looking forward to your MOA meet with Suzi and Mo. I know you guys will have a fun time. :thumbsup2

I know it was snowing heavy when I took the first picture, but you can't see that very well in the picture :)

I know I should - but the more I think about it, the more I tell myself that I should just let it go**********************************************************

I tend to obsess over things and have a hard time letting go when I think someone did something wrong. I'm pretty sure where my youngest dd gets it from :confused3

My office tends to be a "storage" room for things I don't know where to put and the paperwork tends to be stacked on the desk until I need to find something.... so don't feel too bad about the state of yours.

My housework tends to suffer when I am working on a project - since I work full time and have a number of evening meetings, I let things slide until I just can't stand it any longer. DH is no help, since he never sees any dust or dirt.

We like to grill out most nights once the weather gets warm. That being the case, dh forgets to put the cover on the grill when it cools down. The other morning I looked out and saw a stick sticking out of the grill. OH NO! I think a pteradactyl was building a nest in there. It was huge :scared1:. I left the lid up and finally got it all cleaned out on Saturday - with the help of the wet/dry vac. The lid is still up because I just know mama bird will be back. Luckily there were no eggs in it yet.

My sewing room needs cleaning desperately. There just are not enough hours in each day, and we've been outside getting the garden ready for planting and I managed to get the patio cleaned off and all the furniture back in place. :cool1: DH has been on the warpath against dandelions. He checks every day to see if any have dared to sprout up.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for being able to grill out. We had a beautiful weekend weather wise as well and could have grilled, except Mark had three games on Saturday and it was too late when he got home and then he did four games yesterday and I made a pork roast because I knew he'd be exhausted (and he came home sick).

Hope you have a great day.

oh no i hope he feels better!!! can't get sick the FIRST TIME WE HAVE GOOD WEATHER!!!

Welcome back Lois, you're a much more forgiving person than I. I need to work on that. She's right D, it's probably better for you if you just pray, let it go and move on.

Sorry you didn't get to go out in the Jeep.

I find that the more nervous I am about something, the easier it goes.
Of course, I think I may have mentioned that I automatically go directly to the absolute worst possible outcome so everything is a pleasant surprise.

I have a day off finally!! 6 days of insanity. I'm checking in here before going to work sewing.

Have a good week: everybody who's got DR appointments, good luck!!

Suzi always does it... :rolleyes1

It's doing better... She is walking on it and doing little things at track practice. I am not going to be able to hold her back for much longer. :headache:

Wow, you can't even tell there is a Mountain or lake in the first picture. What a beautiful view when the sun is shining.

I agree - I was going to comment about that yesterday too - but I forgot.

Your view is gorgeous!

I tend to obsess over things and have a hard time letting go when I think someone did something wrong. I'm pretty sure where my youngest dd gets it from

I usually hang on to it for a few days, but after that - it's fairly easy to let go of things that bother me. I've come to the conclusion that I cannot change others, and I cannot let them change me, so there is no sense dwelling on it and letting it eat away at me. :lovestruc

My office tends to be a "storage" room for things I don't know where to put and the paperwork tends to be stacked on the desk until I need to find something.... so don't feel too bad about the state of yours.

I did tidy it up a little bit yesterday morning... I really need to do more in here - but thankfully we can close the door... and I always do. At least the rest of the house is presentable.

My housework tends to suffer when I am working on a project - since I work full time and have a number of evening meetings, I let things slide until I just can't stand it any longer. DH is no help, since he never sees any dust or dirt.

That's where I think my family gets frustrated with me. I am here all day, almost every day, but when I am here - I am working... I can't spend all day every day cleaning the house - or I wouldn't be able to work. It's frustrating for me too, since I know there is so much to be done in both places (sewing room & the rest of the house).

We like to grill out most nights once the weather gets warm. That being the case, dh forgets to put the cover on the grill when it cools down. The other morning I looked out and saw a stick sticking out of the grill. OH NO! I think a pteradactyl was building a nest in there. Josh has our garden started in the basement, but the weather has been so persnickety this year - we are kind of afraid to plant. I did purchase an awesome salad spinner the other day though... After last year's mountains of salad our garden produced and my crappy salad spinner that really didn't work - I decided that this would be an investment. Looking forward to "taking it for a spin" LOL.

Yep..I probably did do it

We know... :lovestruc

Yikes!!! Mark is sure a busy man! I sure hope he feels better soon - it's no fun being sick.

I totally agree - sometimes I just need to vent... I am over it now - I promise. :)

Sorry you didn't get to go out in the Jeep.

It's OK - there will be pleanty of other opportunities. :thumbsup2

I am exactly like this Ruth... Exactly! And I do this very same thing a lot. Glad to know that I am not alone.

I have a day off finally!! 6 days of insanity. I'm checking in here before going to work sewing.

Have a good week: everybody who's got DR appointments, good luck!!

I hope you enjoyed your day off! Did you do any fun sewing? I sure hope so.

**********************************************************

I was in my sewing room by 7:30 yesterday morning... I took a 20 minute break for lunch and I worked until 4:30... So, I put in a solid 8+ hour day in my sewing room.

I managed to cut out my current custom bag twice... :rolleyes1 That's never happened to me before... I cut it on the wrong grain... I was not happy with myself. At least I now have a lot of nice blue fabric for appliques... Sigh.

I was also able to get the entire thing quilted.

I've made a deal with myself - that for the next 4 weeks, I must meet certain benchmarks on my custom order bags each day before I can switch over to my BIG auction bags. Yesterday's benchmark was to get this bag totally quilted.

So, at about 1:30, I switched over to my BIG auction bag... and I am about 90% done stitching out that applique. :woohoo:

Today, I will be working on the appliques for my custom order bag... One of them is detailed, and one of them is simple. If all goes well - I should be able to switch over to my BIG auction bag again this afternoon. I'd like to finish up that applique and hopefully get started on the applique for the coordinating wallet. :wizard:

I mentioned this story in Kathy's PTR... but I thought it was kind of funny - so I'd mention it here too...

Last night, Josh and I were watching Undercover Disney, and he asked me - "why don't you ever do anything new when you go to Disney?" (is the question mark supposed to be before or after the quotes??? For some reason lately - it looks weird either way... :confused3)... I was kind of offended at his question, because we do all sorts of new things every time we go. The problem is - and I replied to him - "every time we go, we do something new, but the problem is, is that we keep going back to do the old stuff - but we like everything new we try - so we have to do that again too... So, each trip gets progressively longer." LOL The girls and I are going to have to start admitting that we can't really afford to do a longer trip than what we are doing, and we won't be able to do everything we like to do on each trip. I sooo wish I could justify doing DVC - then I wouldn't always feel like every trip is our "last" and we must accomplish it all. :confused3

For the record... New things we are doing this trip...

1. One of the Water Parks (this is the BIG one)
2. FLE (LOL - yes, I can include that....)
3. CRT
4. A new restaurant in Epcot (to be determined)
5. Sci-Fi
6. BoG
7. Explore the remainder of DTD
8. New Test Track (LOL - yes, I am including this too)

So, I think we have a good mix of new things to try... Yes, most of it is food, but we love the experience of Disney Dining. :thumbsup2

I hope everyone is starting to feel better.

Any ways... I better get going on my day - I have so much to do...

D~

I did a little sewing last night: just enough to get annoyed with myself for not measuring and assuming everything would be fine. In my defense, it was a ruffle for a doll dress and I wanted it really ruffly - I over did the length, though, I'm not going to be able to ruffle it tight enough to fit where I want it. I'll have to fix it tonight.

Hurray for meeting benchmarks and getting 90 percent done on the big applique.

Happy Tuesday, y'all!

Can never remember what I want to say.

I think ending the auctions close together is a great idea, that way someone has a chance to bid on another one if their favorite goes too high.

Ok, my new absolute favorite bag is this sorcerer Mickey. I just narrowed it down the other day that he is my favorite character and if I get around to making a park bag, he would be on it. And then you post that bag, just beautiful!

So I finished a minnie magnifique shirt and skirt for the first of 2 bday parties for DD. Now I need to get busy on her mermaid outfit for party number 2. I need these deadlines to get things done. Luckily, these will be some of her park outfits, so I'm making slow progress. And I'm crazy busy this time of year at work. Busy, busy, busy. If I didn't procrastinate so much, I wouldn't be trying to finish things frantically. I always say next time, but it never happens.

LOL - now that I know the delivery cut off - I will be calling much sooner. I just wasn't sure what that time was before.

I'm not a very patient person at time's when I'm waiting on something. especially when it has a set time to be there by.

Thanks Sandra! I am quite shocked at how many Sorcerer Mickey bags I've made... It's right up there with regular Mickey. But I agree - if a person is to do a custom bag, they must do what speaks to them, IMO. Most people only buy one, so I think they might as well do what they love.

He's one popular guy!! I may have to try for a 2nd on sometime in the future and get another favorite of mine.

I agree - I am still very upset with her. However, there is more to the rules than what they say... I will explain in just a minute below.

So I didn't quote everything. But I'd probably still complain about how rudely you were treated. I'd also maybe contact corporate to get a clarification on their policy. Maybe they'll correct it so you know the rules and don't feel like you're breaking them.

Well, my thinking with the auctions, if I do them all 5 minutes apart, they will all start and finish approximately with in an hour. It's not more work for me, but the same amount of work no matter what, with in a shorter time period. So, as long as I have everything together, I think it might work out well. That way - people don't have to wait around all day for "their" auction to end. And if they want to bid on two, even if they end one right after the other, they still have time to get to the next one. Does that make sense? :thumbsup2

I get what you're saying. I've bought enough on eBay to know it's nice to have a couple auctions I'm watching end within a few mins of each other so I can jump from one to the other if I get outbid. Just don't end them super early in the morning!! I get up late on Saturday's if I can!! :rotfl2:

I know - I am so lucky - I tell her that all the time. Besides, she doesn't sew much at all... But I am quite certain, if I get the quilting all set up for her, she will do just fine. :thumbsup2

It's been very hot here too the last few days... so much so, I just realized that I need to have the air conditioner in my Edge recharged. :crazy2:

We had a high of 92 the other day!! :beach::scared1::sunny:

Only 3 replies this morning... LOL I hope everyone is OK.

I always have the opposite problem, I never make my ruffles long enough, so they are never as full as I want them to be.

Hurray for meeting benchmarks and getting 90 percent done on the big applique.

Happy Tuesday, y'all!

Thanks - I was super happy about it! I hope you had a wonderful day too!

Can never remember what I want to say.

LOL Me neither... Could you imagine how long this PTR would be if I did remember? LOL

I think ending the auctions close together is a great idea, that way someone has a chance to bid on another one if their favorite goes too high.

That's what I am thinking too.

Ok, my new absolute favorite bag is this sorcerer Mickey. I just narrowed it down the other day that he is my favorite character and if I get around to making a park bag, he would be on it. And then you post that bag, just beautiful!

Thanks! I think that's my 3rd or 4th SM bag... He is a lot of fun to work with.

SOunds like you are getting lots done too! The outfits sounds adorable! :lovestruc

I'm not a very patient person at time's when I'm waiting on something. especially when it has a set time to be there by.

I am not either... THat is why I am so worried about our LTT ADR on our arrival day. We land at 12:15 and our ADR is at 2:50. If everything goes like it did last time, we'd be OK... We landed at the same time, we were checked in and in our room at 1:40 - if it goes that way this time, we could probably get there on time... but the first time we walk in to MK - I just like to breathe the air and enjoy "being there"... This time, we will have to rush to LTT... Sigh... I have months to decide, and I am still trying for a bit later ADR - but I don't want to go too much later (prob 3:15 at the latest) because they switch over to dinner at 4pm, and we are solely going for lunch.

Can't wait to hear who that is.

I am really just trying not to think about it too much anymore... I am still irritated, but - sigh - I dunno....

I am thinking I will end them sometime between 9 and 11am... I don't want to go too late in to the day either, because I know that people have places to be on the weekends. :thumbsup2

**********************************************************

I had a fantastic day in my sewing room yesterday. I was able to finish both appliques on my custom order bag, and I was able to start some of the detail work/assembly. Then, at about 2pm, I switched over to my BIG auction bag, and I was able to get all of my final assembly prep work done - I have about an hours worth of work left to do on it... Then I will begin working on the coordinating applique for the wallet. I feel like I am making good progress the last few days in my sewing room - I am afriad I am going to burn out quickly though. However, I am about half done and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Josh's truck died yesterday while going to pick Alli up from Track. We had to have it towed home. :( We've narrowed it down to something on the fuel line - but not the fuel pump. So, we need to get that fixed. It kind of sucks, but hopefully we can get it done in a budget friendly way.

I work at Target today... It's a rainy day here - so it's a good day to be there.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day today. :lovestruc

D~

It's a rainy day here in southeastern Virginia too. But I have a lunch planned with a friend that I haven't seen in almost a year (she moved to PA) so that's keeping me positive! Hope your day goes well at work and that Josh's truck can easily be fixed! :wizard:

I LOVE the turning of the calendar page always feels like a fresh start and a clean slate, sort of like a new year May today be glorious to you all OK gotta get a move on just wanted to check in & say Hi

Good Morning!
your a work-a-holic! then again i would be doing the same to pay for my trip!!! is it true your supposed to get snow today?!?!? we will be at about 80! this keeps up may change this trip to stay in CHICAGO! :rotfl:

I'm here! I read every morning but I usually don't have anything to add so I don't always post. I did just realize that I never commented on how much I loved the lastest bag. :lovestruc Of course I always love them so here's a second opinion. I sent the pictures to Mom and she replied back:

"i love it, too ! she is soooo talented ! wow ! love the little bucket hanging from purse."

I'm here too. I bought myself a new camera - a beginners dslr -so that I can experiment some with picture taking - never one of my strong points. Somehow I always forget that I have a camera...

Anyway, I'm hoping to use your camera bag insert for inspiration to make one for my new camera. I know that I have a camera bag "somewhere" in my house - probably buried somewhere in the "office" - but I don't want a camera bag, just an insert for my new park bag. I don't want to make it exactly like yours, just use yours for inspiration! I also want to make it waterproof and add inside pockets for phones, chargers, etc. that I wouldn't want to get wet.

One of my co-workers talked me into going to a quilt guild meeting last night. I used to belong to this guild but the meetings were just too far to go - over an hour from home - after working all day. Well, they moved their meeting place closer, so I decided to join up again. I forgot how much fun they were.

Hope its nothing serious with the truck. Ours needs to go in for a tune up soon, so I can get the camper in for inspection. Its always something!

Have fun at Target today!
