I am so excited to take my daughter on this cruise as a high school graduation gift. This will be our 3rd disney cruise. I just received a call today from ABD that we are off the wait list for Adventures by Disney :cool1:. I am trying to book, London and Paris before we head over to Barcelona.

Enjoy Planning

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one has posted in months about a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS. If anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to contact me for some suggestions.

Hi,
Gearing up and getting ready to book shore excursions and onboard activities in one week, so thought it was time to chime in and introduce ourselves. I am Laurie and will be traveling with my DH Tim and our four kids. We have two 14 year old girls and two 12 year old boys. This will be our fifth Disney Cruise and the third time on the Magic. We are really looking forward to Europe and all of the fun we always have on Disney Cruises. Any other families traveling with teens or preteens our kids' ages?

Buenos días desde Barcelona España. Estamos ansiosos porque empiece el viaje. Saludos a toda la comunidad.

HI There Gatorvet, My name is Sandra, We (Me and Hubby) are traveling with our 13 YO son and 11 YO daughter. It's our 4th DCL cruise and first time Medi! Are you guys spending time in Spain before/after the cruise?

Hi Sandra,
We are flying into Paris several days before the cruise and spending a few nights there, then taking the train to Barcelona the day before the cruise. We have to get straight home after the cruise as school starts on the following Monday! Haven't decided yet where we are staying in Barcelona. It is a little challenging with 6 of us. Excited that tomorrow (or maybe late tonight) we can start booking onboard activities.

Gatorvet and spriestley, I'm John and wife, 12 yo son and 9 yr daughter will be in London and Paris the week before the cruise. We are also taking the train from Paris to Barcelona the day before the cruise. The more I have looked at Barcelona the more I am kicking myself for not planning on another day so see more there.

John,
More time would always be nice. Unfortunately, we can't be away from work any longer than we are. And we get back home the day before school starts. Which train are you taking? We are on the 10:07 am TGV.

So the FE organized on this thread is closed already?

I don't think there was ever one opened on this thread

Hi everyone!

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread and just share a pdf document through a private conversation confidentially with just those who want to join in!

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and Fish Extender discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is completely up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM (conversation).

Enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Please don't hesitate to let us know if you need any help getting started! :goodvibes

Okay John,
That was too early for us. You will get several more hours in Barcelona though. There's always pros and cons. Getting excited that it is getting closer.

Hello

This will be our 2nd cruise but this time we will have a 18 month old boy. First cruise was from Miami on the Wonder and it was amazing. Looking forward with our little boy. We are from the UK so this cruise is on our door step and many places we have been to. I am curious are most other passangers American? I ask because here in the UK Disney Cruise Line doesnt advertis much at all and its a fair way to come over for a holiday. Personally I hope the ship is full of Americans probably because we relate to Disney to America and everyone is so nice and helpful and Disney customer service must be the best. Looking forward to the adult time in the Avengers Academy!

Hi Ashley,
Since this is the least active I have ever seen a cruise meet thread (my last cruise the thread was over 100 pages long!), I am guessing that Americans will be only a small percentage of the passengers. I have read on other threads that the Mediterranean cruises have a high percentage of Spaniards, which makes sense. They will make announcements in English and Spanish, but th shows will be in English. I think I read that Americans are typically 20% or so of the passengers. It should still be the same Disney experience though. Looking forward to it and counting the days. My family leaves home in exactly one month. All tours booked and starting to get excited.
