Look around. I found a full-sized SUV on Avis for under $1100. No minivan but it will fit just as much.

I just checked your days using the Alamo pre-pay 10% reduction and it was $1,091.19 for a 10 rental on a minivan.

No way should anyone be paying $6000! YIKES!!

I have already book Dollar for about $400 back a few months. Looking to see if i could get a better rate i found this $499 a day rate. I hope that is a missprint or this company won't be around long

Payless has now corrected the error that produced that rate. The actual cost for your period is $1207.59 with all the taxes and fees. I think that's really high but others are charging within that range too. Unfortunately, you've probably waited too long to get a good price on a minivan as prices tend to go way up when available inventory is low. If you can get by with a standard size SUV like a five-seat Jeep or Explorer you can do much better. Your cost should also be lower than $1000 for a full size/premium size SUV - 8 seat Expedition or Durango. Try some of the leisure class rental companies like Dollar or Budget.

Does it have to be a Minivan? Alamo has an Full Size SUV for those dates for $493.95 (that includes the tax & fees) (using a Costco Discount). I booked a mid size SUV for a week for $184 (inclusive) for 8/11 - 8/16.
