Heyyy I had a question about cruise auditions and it was suggested I ask on this board...

So it seems that Disney Cruise Line is coming to Toronto later this month to hold auditions (We live alllll the way across the country in Vancouver...but we can travel )

My sisters and I are hoping to get out that way to audition for "look-a-like characters"

I have ONE question and I'm wondering if anyone has any insight...The requirements say "Performers must be at least 18 years of age". The auditions are for a term starting September 2010... The audition is on May 26th and my youngest sister will be turning 18 on June 3rd.....will they let her audition??

Thanks in advance for any insight on this little dilemma!!!!

Alsoooo....if anyone who has auditioned before has ANY advice we would GREATLY appreciate it!!! We never thought as Canadians we would get a chance to audition for anything Disney!!

As a canadian you are able to audition for both the cruise line and Toky Disneyland.

I dont think your sister will have a problem if she is turning 18 before the contract begins. You can always email auditions@disney.com to ask them directly.

Cruise Line auditions are really fun! Though in the cruise line if you get to be a princess you also have to do fur characters (chip and dale)

There is a lot of info on this site specially on the

"character height/auditions" thread and "cruise auditions" threads on the college section of this forum!

Good luck and please let us know how they go!!

I believe mousefan is correct- as long as you're 18 once your contract begins. But I would ask just to be sure- especially since you're making that long of a trip.

Thanks for your responses guys.... this is the email I just got back from auditions@disney.com

"Thank you for your email.

Performers must be at least 18 years of age to accept any contracts offered for the roles being auditioned for. Please check back with our website www.DisneyAuditions.com for more information regarding our upcoming auditions.

Sincerely,
Disney Parks Talent Casting"

To me that reads that she should be able to audition...as long as she turns 18 before anything is offered to her...which (if it is) I'm sure she will be 18 by then...especially since her 18th birthday is exactly a week after the audition.... is that what you all read as well? or is that just wishful thinking on my part?

THanks agaaain!!

It seems to me you are reading right! Are you still planning on going? please let us know how it all goes!!
