Anyone own an Audi? Like it, Love it, hate it?

We just bought an Audi A4 Wagon and love it. It is my husbands car and he is really happy with it. It handles great, has all wheel drive and he really likes the engine. I like the free scheduled maintenance for the next three years.

I know three people with them. My uncle has the A8 and loves it...traded the old one in for a new one recently. A friend drives an A6 and really likes it. And one of the people I work for just bought the A4 convertible...had a Saab convertible previously and said this one is better.

I drive a Passat which is basically the A6 with a VW logo. Much cheaper and looks exactly the same inside. My inside looks almost identical to my friend's A6...except my cup holder is in a better place

My dad had an Audi a few years ago. Finally sold it because it was costing him so much to maintain it. He owned it for almost 2 years and in that time he had to replace a lot of stuff. He spent thousands of dollars on repairs to that car, and it was only about 2 years ago.
My driver's ed teacher's brother had an audi. An electrical problem with the wiring of the car caused it to catch fire.
Audis are very fun cars to drive (my dad LOVED flying around in it) but they're maintenance hogs. Dad spent more in a year and a half on that car than he has in about 5 of his cars combined.

I have an A4 1.8T. Have had a few problems with the engine... Oil pump went out w/about 30K miles on it, repaired under warranty.. Then at about 46K the entire engine blew... That also repaired under warranty...

#1 reason for all the above is Audi's scheduled maintenace is to change the oil every 10K miles SO if you are going to buy one w/any of the turbo engines, change the oil about every 3-5K miles & you probably won't have any problems.....

I do love the car, solid built, runs great, all wheel drive is good to have... I would consider getting another one, without the turbo engine next time

I have a 2004 Audi A4, and I love it. I'm leasing it and the they have a 4 year bumper to bumper warranty. Can't beat that.
