Attractions that will never be removed - is your favorite one of them?

Tonight my family watched Dumbo on Disney Jr. While we were watching it I thought to myself "It's nice that my favorite Disney movie (Dumbo) will always have a ride at Disneyworld".

Then I started thinking, what ride/attraction is less likely to be removed than Dumbo? I mean, Dumbo is a fixture, it's like the park's most iconic ride. Then I realized there is one attraction that would remain even if they replaced everything else including Dumbo.

Cinderella Castle.

So, I thought it may be fun to make a list of attractions that have very little chance of being replaced at any time in the 21st Century.

1) Cinderella Castle
2) Dumbo
3) Peter Pan's Flight

So what do you think? What attractions have no chance of ever being replaced (or no chance of being replaced in the next 86 years)? What are the chances YOUR favorite attraction will be replaced at some point?

Any of the ones that were exhibited at the Worlds Fair and Walt had a hand in will never leave. So that is Carousel of Progress, WedWay, Hall of Presidents and It's a Small World. I'd also say Jungle Cruise and Pirates are pretty safe.

Peter Pan's Flight
Tomorrowland Transit Authority
Pirate's
Haunted Mansion
Space Mountain

My three are on here already for MK..... People Mover, Pirates and HM

But then again I thought Mickeys house would always be there too

Small World
PotC
Haunted Mansion

I think Peter Pan's Flight is probably on a short list of attractions that will be replaced in the not so distant future. It's very dated and by next generation very few will be able to relate to the movie.

Allow me to nit pick for a moment. I would not call the Castle an attraction. It is a landmark, and the park icon and is thus immune from tampering. But it is not a ride, a show, a meet and greet or a parade, so I don't think it meets the definition of an attraction.

And frankly, given Disney's penchant for treating WDW as a cash cow, I truly believe that if they thought they could make a dollar by closing an attraction and putting in something else, it wouldn't matter how classic or nostalgic that attraction was.

Seriously about Mickey's House!!! Who would have thought they would ever get rid of that?!!!

If there's enough money involved, nothing is safe.

Walt had certain demands on attractions, CoP in particular. Sadly, no one still alive in the Disney family seems to really care what goes on at the parks anymore.

CoP and Haunted Mansion probably for me. CoP is my favorite thing and Haunted Mansion is probably a very close second. They're just so mellow and laid back. It's really nice.

It would be easier to list attractions that might be closed in the future, rather than ones that will never be shut down.

Stitch.

Ummmmm yeah, that's about it.

As long as Splash Mountain continues to be there, I will be happy, it is my favorite ride by far :).

I hope the train...because I always picture the image of Walt driving and waving, like he's riding right along with us. :goodvibes

Our generation will not see much of that, I'm sure. But in a certain point something better will come and they'll have to get rid of outdated attractions that won't impress the new generations anymore.

I don't see Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion and PotC going anywhere for quite a while. Same goes for Tower of Terror and Everest.

The trouble is people will always want a new experience. They can't keep things the same and need to keep the parks fresh. They could update rides without removing them like they did with test track or figment (better before in my opinion) but they don't have unlimited space to keep expanding.
I hope poc, the mountains and hm are safe. Would happily ser stitch, jungle cruise and buzz have an overhaul. Buzz was a great ride until tsmm came along. Now its dated.

Counting down to 14th May!

I can't see Festival of the Lion King or Beauty & the Beast going anywhere anytime soon either. Disney is still pouring a ton of money into both shows for renovations & refurbs.
It sounds like Malestrom is going to get the boot fairly soon, or at least a major makeover. I heard there are plans to turn it into a Frozen-themed attraction. :confused3

I'd love to share your optimism, but us folks on the west coast never thought our Peoplemover was going anywhere, either...
