:bounce: :bounce: :earseek: Has anyone else noticed the amount of rides, etc. that have broken down on their trip? We just came back from a 2 week trip and we really enjoyed it but I was surprised at the number of rides, attractions, mom-rails that were broken down over that span of time. One night our mono-rail stopped just as we got into the Contemporary resort and we were stuck for a little while. Another night, we saw a mono-rail towed away from the Ticket Trans. Ctr. at the Mgic Kingdom. Being an Industrial eningeer I got to thinking about this. Has Disney World started to cut back on the Maintenance of its parks? Have they been unable to order/replace parts as needed?
Needless to say this is not a big issue but surprised to see it. We plan to go back next year. :Pinkbounc

The monorails are getting older.
As are a lot of the rides.
That said a lot of times they stop one of the monorails if another is taking a longer period to unload (say a ramp needs be placed so a wheelchair or ECV
can load or unload.)
Also I am sure they do tow some away every so often for a routine overhaul.
Maybe the one you saw needed to be rapaired or maybe it just need a "check-up."
The same goes for the rides. If a ride (especially a dark ride ie: PoC,IASW,Buzz, SE, etc. is stopped for just a few minutes it is usually because someone needs a little more time to board or unload.
Hope you did not experience too many delays.

At MK in July - we had one day when both the HM and Splash Moutain broke down - but I haven't seen breakdowns really much at all before that one day.
