Last year, I took my then-2 yo to DLR and it was a disaster. She was scared of or just didn't like every ride we went on, and it was drama after drama.
Since my older two love anything and everything Disney, it was quite a shock! If I hadn't been there at the birth I might be questioning if this was really my child!!
Hoping to be better prepared this year I sought out ride videos, and found a bunch on YouTube. We've been watching them every night, and dd is getting very excited about the rides. She is looking forward to seeing Captain Jack in POC and seeing if the dog gives the pirates the keys!
I think she will be better prepared for the rides having seen the videos, and it's a good reminder for me, because I had forgotten how scary some of the rides can seem to little ones. We've never made it on Splash Mountain, for example, because either it was too cold or the lines were too long. So I'd forgotten how dark it gets in the tunnels or how scary the approach to that last drop can be.
So anyway, I just thought I would pass on this tip to anyone with little ones who might be anxious about the rides. Just put Disneyland or Disney World and the name of the attraction in the search box and you should be able to find anything.
