I'm trying to see if I can find out what rides will be closed during August and the last week of Oct/first week of Nov. I went on the Disneyland website and I can only see until March. Am I looking at the wrong site????

You're not looking at the wrong place, you're just looking at the wrong time. It's far too early to know, as that information hasn't been released yet.

Because August is the peak of summertime, they try to keep refurbs to a minimum at that time, but that doesn't mean there won't be any closures. At the end of October/early November, you can anticipate that It's a Small World will need to close to get its holiday transformation, and after Halloween, Space Mountain will close for a short time to get rid of the Ghost Galaxy overlay. Those are transformations that happen every year so we can predict them, though we don't know the exact dates yet.

Other than that, refurb information isn't released until closer to the dates. Here is a good resource on refurbs as well. This is a weekly update released on Mondays... scroll down and see the "Current Refurbishments and Attraction Closures" section: http://www.mouseplanet.com/9882/Disneyland_Resort_Update

No one knows that far out. The only thing I can tell you for sure is that IASW willbe down end of October to the 2nd week of november to add the holiday overlay. Space Mt will be down Nov 1 to switch from halloweens ghost galaxy to regular version.

Thanks I figured on those 2. Fortunately we will be there for a few days before Halloween so I'll have to make sure we get our fill of IASW and SM before the rehab. I guess I'm a real obsessive Dis planner. And excited because we don't get to DL often so I'm hoping for as little closures as possible (like a million other people ;))

I have always planned our vacations at least a year in advance. So I know what you are wondering... All you can do is wait until things come online. And then hope there isn't an issue with the ride while you're there.

I always print out a schedule of the days we will be there. It's not uncommon for a ride to be down the whole time we are there or even a day or two. The other thing to check on are the shows you may want to see. Aladdin is one we check first, we never want to miss it.

Waiting is the hard part.....

We find even with some of the attractions not in operation during a visit, we are never lacking for things to do!!

Fun times for sure.

Small world usually closes about a Week before Halloween.
