Just a few months pre-COVID we had someone seated in the same row as our party of 2 on FEA. I’ve also been seated with other parties on IASW if we were both parties of 2, and KS if we were parties of 2/2 or 2/3.

Since reopening, though, I have only been seated with my party in the same row of any ride, even when we are a party of 2.

That's not true pre-covid. As a solo traveler I've often been put with groups of 2 or 3 on the attractions with bench seating.

Pre Covid we were seated as a party of 2 with another party of 2 in the same row of Navi River Journey! All of us seemed surprised because even pre Covid that is a little close with people you don't know!

I would think this will begin to relax in the future

Depends on how busy they are. Most of the time you are seated as a single group. I've been seated by myself many times in my 20 year venture in solo travel. I did get on 7DWMT (a two seater) with someone I didn't know but the line was about a mile long waiting to ride. That is what will happen if you are in the single rider line. You will be fit in to fill the seats.
