Where is the best, most up-to-date site to look at for attraction closings (for renovations, etc.) non-hurricane related. We are going in October, and I heard that the magic carpet ride is closed, but I'd like to be able to check routinely before we go.

I'm glad I found out about the magic carpet ride, so I could let DD5 know now. Alladin is her all-time favorite movie, making this her favorite ride. If she ran up to it & found out it wasn't running, she would be crushed. At least she's forewarned.

Thanks!

A great site for up to date information of that type is www.allearsnet.com. Also, disneyworld.com will also show their attractions which are closed for rehab. Have a great trip.

My dd is a Princess Jasmine freak. When we found out from allearsnet that the Magic Carpet Ride will be closed for our trip she was davastated. At least it's out her her system kinda so the whole vacation won't be ruined. I'm just praying that for once they finsh rehab earlier than projected. I know it's highly unlikely but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

There is a Magic Carpet Ride at Disneyquest
It is a Virtual Reality game where you can control the carpet flight.

My dd is a Princess Jasmine freak.

I'm in the same boat! I'm hoping, that even with the Magic Carpet ride refurb, Jasmine is out & about (or at least in Morocco when we're there), since Aladdin will have just been released on DVD.

I'm still waiting for the Disney Store to come out with a bunch of Jasmine stuff!

Supposedly they are re-doing the sound system, fixing some show items that haven't been working properly for awhile, and in general freshening up the whole attraction. It's going to be done for over a year, so there must be a whole lot of "stuff" going on.
