Just took the trashbag out to dumpster and accidently brushed some landscaping stones aside with my foot and saw the first blades of a tulip plant. "SPRING IS HERE!"

You are kidding me! I have seen no sign here in lower Worcester County. In fact I was out in the Berkshires yesterday and they had what must have been four inches of snow and it was down right bitter out.

I just returned from the Famous St. Patrick's Day Parade here in Worcester and we had to leave early because the sun went behind some really thick clouds and it became intensely cold. The wind was whipping through my Irish Knit sweater and my poor DS's hand were going to freeze.

I would love to see a tulip starting up - I planted a 150 bulbs last fall - the first time I have gotten around to it in the past few years - and I am so excited to see them, and see how many of them the animals left in the ground.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day everyone (a little early but we start the festivities right up ASAP so we have more drink green beer days here in Worcester). Now its off to find some lucky slots with a stop first at the Bellagio Spa to wash off the frog goo out of my hair - YUUUUUCKKKKK. I'll pop by the house for a visit again next week.

Does anyone know who did that little prank - I am getting the sneaking sensation it was a juvenile delinquent we all know and love.

By the way, Dan - I wish I could do a meet with you, but alas - I am stuck here in the frosty northeast.

Doesney's key is still under the mat.

Where was everybody at 5 a.m.? :teeth: I won BIG and had promised a lavish buffet for all of you. You'll never know WHO you missed by not joining me. Speaking of winning BIG, notice the matching bracelet and collar Toto-ette and I are wearing? :)

About Godiva being bought out by Campbells Soup.....that happened MANY years ago. DH worked for Pepperidge Farm (owned by Campbell Soup) way back and and they use Godiva in their cookies. When possible, I'd go into the cooler at the plant and breathe in the smell of the huge blocks of Godiva sitting on the shelves. Can't count the times I just reached in and got a few handfuls of the stuff. Actually, I got really sick on several occasions. :(

Sorry, I was in bed at 5am!! At the moment I'm sitting in my sauna in my room after just having a jacuzzi. Anyone care to join me in a spot of rest and relaxation? Then I think a gondola ride at the Venetian followed by a spot of indoor skydiving (just of the strip oposite Circus Circus)

I have seen several robins so I know spring will be here, Its just not coming soon enough!!! That is the one thing I would miss out in Vegas is the changing seasons, but hey you have to take the good with the bad!!!

Spring is here in England too, I have daffodils in my back garden along with tulips and frogs in my pond! (I counted 10 this morning.)

No sign of spring here in NJ today. It is cold and cloudy. We are expecting snow on Tuesday:confused: Will it never end?

IloveDMB, now i gotta go check out an XM radio. Sounds cool. DH's birthday is next week maybe I'll get it for him so I can use it;)

I know spring will be here soon because the ladybugs are everywhere!!!!!! <img src=http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0903/sauer/angry-smiley-005.gif> Oh man I really really really can't stand those things.

Of course, in my perfect vegas fantasy world with my DISplaced buddies there are no ladybugs. Ahhhh...... :D :D :D

Okay, yall are getting ready to get a little 'ole taste of my ignorance. Could someone tell me how one changes from a "Welcomed Guest" to a "Disney Veteran"? Been wondering about that for weeks.

Ohhh...I found tulip growth too and I'm just east of Worcester!!! A lot of it too. Then, into the car and to the Centrum for the HomeShow. Not much happening there, but it was cold at 2:00. Wondered what was going on with the St. Patrick's Day parade. Didn't see much evidence.

BTW....frog goo??!! Talk to you later guys!!!!

Well, thank you! I had begun to think I had failed to register properly or finish a necessary step. Fell truly more welcomed now. :sunny:

By the way, how's your day going? ;)

Wow, I didn't realize so many of you guys were from MA..... my dh is from Danvers. ;)

Where is everyone? I'm getting quite lonely sitting here in our new house all alone.

Perhaps I'll head back down to the craps table.

I'm here!!!! :wave2: Starting to feel like a thread killer though. ;) Maybe we need to start some kind of interesting, thought provoking, conversation???

:chat:

Hmmmmm.....

So anyone got big plans for the week? It's Spring Break and I have no where to go! I'm going to do a lot of hours for my internship and hopefully go to AC or NYC.

Anyone else?

My kids have no school or sports this week... but we're just staying around home because dh is working. So I'll probably be on the DIS a lot!!! :p

Spring-time is in full swing down here! We had to mow our lawn for the first time last Thursday. We're the first house on the street to get that done! :smooth: My rose bushes look like they're ready to go nuts, my jasmine is wrapping along the fence beautifully, and my tulips are shooting up like weeds. Of course, it will be summer by the middle of this week, so I have to enjoy this week of spring while it's here! :sunny:

DH and I just got in from the movies. Our neighbors must be gone for the weekend and it looks like their son(s) have taken over the house. They are both college-age and have moved an air matress onto the roof where they are drinking and smoking. Their music is turned up where we can clearly hear it in our bedroom. DH is trying to decide if he should (1) go holler at them to turn the music down, (2) take his Q-beam out and give them a good shine, or (3) just take the gun outside and shoot a few warning shots in the air. (I'm half kidding about the last option....but only half!) Ironic, isn't it, that the mischief maker is the one that wants to go ream so stupid kids right now?!

IloveDMB - have a great spring break even if you stay right where you are. If there is one thing I miss from college (well, ok, it's actually in the top 100), it's Spring Break. And I never really did anything that interesting. Just having the time off was great!

Good night, all.

***This post has been entirely too tame for a mischief maker. I'll try to do better tomorrow! ;) ***

WAKE UP!!!!!!!! Good morning everyone. Did we all have a good night? If any of you are looking for some real fun, you can come to our Town Meeting for the next few nights. Democracy in action. That should help any with sleep problems;)

Snow is on it's way here, so it looks like I'll head out to Vegas after all. Meet you all there. I'll have to hook up with someone who 'knows their way around' tho. I'm a true novice when it comes to losing my money. Now, where's the breakfast buffet and coffee???

Morning everyone!!! Sorry I wasn't around yesterday! Busy showing off the "new look"! ;)

But, really, all I had done was a full set of highlights, but what looks mostly different is that I chopped about 5 inches of hair off! Maybe I lost some weight from it! Let me hit the scales! :D

Have a great day everyone ... enjoy it!
