Attire for dinner at Tritons???

We are going on the 3 night cruise on the Wonder. My wife read that the night we eat at Tritons retaurant it is considered semi-formal. She wants me to bring a suit and tie for that night. I was planning on a pair of dockers and a long sleeve shirt. I heard that all evening meals on the 3 night cruises were considered "resort casual" as far as attire.

Polo/golf shirt or button down short sleeve with khakis will work fine.

Hi there! We just returned from a four night Wonder cruise...sooooooooo much fun. As far as the question you had, I saw several people in "little black dresses" and men in jackets. However, I saw others dressed (and I am not kidding) in Harley tshirts. My husband went the middle route wearing a polo and nice pants. and I wore a dress. I did however, wish I had my little black one...dressing up is fun!

Not having been, I don't know for sure, but I believe the second seating tends to be dressier in most of the restaurants than the first. And I'd guess that the "adults" rotation will be dressier than the "kids" rotation.

Wear what you are comfortable with and let your wife wear what she is comfortable with. As Dabney said, a lot of women think dressing up is fun. Of course, marital harmony and your chances of getting lucky might improve if she thinks you make a really good looking couple with her in her dress and you in your suit.

I'm bringing something that verges on formal for that night, I have NO idea what my husband will pack - nor do I care, except I've informed him we are requested not to wear shorts or jeans (he tends to dress pretty snappy, I'm not married to a guy that wears a lot of jeans and shorts anyway).

We are going to be on the same cruise that you are going on (I saw you mention the date in another thread)
My husband and our friend who is coming along do not plan on wearing jackets and ties, just nice dress pants and dress shirts.
So if you do not want to wear the jacket and tie then don't, you will definitely not be the only one.
Looking forward to cruising in just a few days.

You definitely do not need a jacket and tie for Triton's. Yes, they "suggest" a jacket for men, but that is a suggestion not a demand. DH and I took formal clothes for our Magic cruises, but not for our Wonder cruise and we "fit in" just fine. I wore black slacks (a sundress one night) and dressy tops, he wore khaki's and polo shirts (a button down tropical shirt one night) and we did not feel "underdressed."

Yes, there were a few jackets/ties, but very few.
