If you have a car and designated driver, or can spring for cab fare, there is also a piano bar at Universal's City Walk. It's called Pat O'Brien's, owned by the quintessential piano bar of the same name in New Orleans.
We always go to Jellyrolls and love it, and if you're staying on site it's far more convenient. That said (uh oh -- gulp, don't shoot me), Pat O'Brien's is better.
I was there on Sunday (10-16). It opened at 7:00 and it was $8.00 to get in. It had the perfect crowd. There were a couple of open tables and no one had to stand. When the lights came on at the end of the night, nobody wanted to leave. We had a blast!

I will have to respectfully disagree here. Pat O's is great for hanging out drinking - their drinks are far better than those served at Jellyrolls. However, the piano guys at Pats cannot hold a candle to the guys at Jellyrolls. They rarely if ever play whole songs and many of them really can't sing very well. If we could just get the drinks from Pats and the piano players from Jellyrolls, life would be perfect!
yes it can be smokey....we really wanted to go, but when we poked our heads inside to check it out, it was too smokey for my daughter (who's a singer who's supposed to avoid smoke to the extent possible....)
we were really disappointed as we love dueling piano type shows.....
