Attention: Major price drop on monorail

Gold toilet for Melania or used monorail..... I vote for the gold.

You know, it all sounds really novel and cool but at the end of the day, I'd love to know what they finally take for it just out of curiosity, and that's assuming they actually do sell it.

What'cha gonna do with it? Put it in your pocket? :confused3

I have plenty of space and I'd be scared to death of vandalism and the like, especially if I gave very much for it.

Don't get me wrong. I'd love to have it. I just don't know what for. If I could buy it for a few thousand AND get it home, I suppose I'd buy it just for the novelty of it, and of course for the bragging rights, but bragging rights only matter to other Disney aficionados.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if they'll even be able to give it away. I'm betting they're doing it just to see if someone will actually buy it and to have bragging rights that they actually sold it.

That's fantastic. :lol Not sure what I'd do with it either. I can see the police stopping by my house to tell me I violated local code by leaving my monorail parked on the street for more than a week. :)

Seems like this outfit has a lot of "interesting" things on their eBay pages. I wonder how much is legit and how much is manufactured. They are even selling blankets from the hotels. :confused3

Hmmm I wonder how much to ship to MD.
As to what you actually do with it? Come on you buy a few acres and build your own monorail system DUH!! :goodvibes

we've purchased WDW items from them (as well as from a few other places) - their items are legit :)

we haven't bought any monorails, but have purchased:
GF bedskirt, comforter, decorative piilows (yes, we washed them :)), drapes; YC entry carpet, ice bucket, tray, trash can; large framed picture that was in the BWVs:lovestruc ; AK park ground speakers, AKL lighting; metal signage (my fave has river country & discovery island ticket pricing :thumbsup2), and much more.
the variety and prices aren't nearly as good as years ago......now i might look, but rarely buy.

As above, I'll vouch for them also. They have been selling this stuff for years. Also as mentioned above, the prices used to be a lot better (best kept secret kinda thing, I guess). I used to buy some stuff from them but rarely do anymore because the prices now seem to rise to ridiculous levels. They really didn't used to do that and I too got some great deals over the years.

I watch their stuff sort of religiously. what intrigues me most is what their deal is. I wonder how they got this racket and how you get to buy that stuff in anywhere the volume and diversity that they do. Anybody with any insight into this, I'm all ears. :rotfl2:

from what we were told by mousesuplus/TPC, etc, winning bid contractors are expected to remove "discards" (furniture, soft goods, etc) during a resort remodel. what a contractor does with the items afterwards is up to them (allowing contractors to sell discards means lower bids, as they can make up money on the items).

the main contracting co had (major) internal problems years ago - prices/selection from any haven't been the same since.
hth :)

They are buying this stuff from the cast store as an authorized vendor. I have a lot of resort furniture at the house from there plus hotel blankets and towels (the good ones) all of that stuff was $1 each towel/blanket. The furniture goes for a song too. I have a table with 6 chairs that was less than $25, one of those huge storage benches from Caribbean Beach for $20....etc.

Never saw a monorail there though !!
