Good news for those of us who prefer hydrating with G2 - it now comes in individual packets to mix into 16 oz/ 1/2 liter bottles of water
I am one of those "sensitive" tummy people who cannot tolerate regular gatorade or powerade. I began using G2 when training and racing and fell in love
A few months ago I was in our local grocey and spotted a box of G2 packets, both fruit punch and grape flavors are available. Bought the fruit punch for a taste test and was completely hooked. It dissolves very rapidly and completely - no residue in the bottle at all and tastes exactly the same as the pre-mixed G2.
I used to have to pack bottles of G2 to take to out of town races which meant I had to check baggage and it weighed a ton. Then of course, I also would worry that my luggage would get lost - all the rest of my race gear is carried on. For the Minnie Marathon weekends, I was packing a dozen bottles for my sister and I for before, during and after the races.
A few weeks ago I went to Vegas with my hubby for a convention and (of course) found a 5k that I could do
Instead of figuring how many bottles of G2 to take, I just put 8 packets in my carryon and trotted off to the airport. Absolutely no issues with TSA - all packets were in a clear baggie in my carryon.
I know I can get bottled water ANYWHERE and most races have bottled water at the end. The day of the Vegas 5k, I put a bottle of water and 2 packets in my rental car and headed off. Once I parked for the race, I put a packet in my shorts pocket and headed off.
Had a fun race and when I pulled out my G2 packet to mix up at race end, it turned out to be a conversation starter
So, for those who travel as they compete or simply like G2 anytime here is a great portable way to get it! My DH and DS have requested that we carry the packets into the Disney parks as their favorite alternative to sodas
