I got a great rate using kiss2 at dollar rental for a full size car April 14-21. The weekly rate was 118.00 and with all taxes and fees the total was 158.00. I have rented with dollar before and have had excellent service. Plus this is a vacation week for Massachusetts. :cool1:

I can't believe codes are out for April. Dollar must be the first one. I can get 40% off from Hertz, because they are partners with Midwest Express and that is our carrier. The only problem I have is I don't need the car till midvacation and it is going to cost me a whole lot more because I am not picking it up at the MCO.

Amazingly I can get a great rate from dollar for my April/May trip and a horrible rate for my early February trip.

The Dollar rate with kiss2 is also higher ($199.99 per week) for my mid-March trip. I'm afraid that indicates higher crowds. :sad2: I couldn't find any discount codes (like from Sams) that would work in March 2007. The best rate I could find for full-size was around $300 for 10 days. I've always found something for under $20/day before! I'll just keep checking...

Actually I was suprised I got such a good rate because that is vacation week for alot of towns and cities in Massachusetts. I expected to pay at least $300.00 !!!!!!

How is Dollar at MCO? Is there a long line usually? I have always used National.
Thanks!

Can I ask you how you get the 40% off? We are flying Midwest next month and I would LOVE to see what those rates would be...

Thanks!

Call the Midwest airline number. She told me to get the 40% off you need to call Midwest and tell them you are interested in renting a car and they will transfer you to Hertz, this is the only way to receive that discount.

Have a nice trip mommy#RN, I see you around here a couple of times and I always wanted to chat with you.

Okay,
I did the Dollar thing, and I can get a Dodge Neon for $20 a day plus tax. My husband wants something bigger, so I went back and did the upgrade for $4.00 more a day that you can only get on the web page. It said I can have a Dodge (it looks like a station wagon) it is considered a intermediate car, or under the heading it says a Ford Taurus. They don't even make Ford Taurus's any more. I have a feeling this is what we would get stuck with.

I didn't have to give them my credit card either, they just e-mailed me a confirmation number and outlined some extra charges, like I need a full tank of gas on the return, it will cost more if I return it to Orlando airport, which I am not, a tire and license surcharge which is .04 a day, so I am probably tooking at a 5 day rental for $135-which includes rental and all taxes and surcharges. This is Easter Sunday thru thursday.

It also says to call them for shuttle service and they will pick me up at the Boardwalk and take me to the Governsor Hotel to pick up my vehicle. So is this to good to be true?

Yes, me and my husband are going in April with 100 other parents. Some will be chaperones. I paid my dues 4 years ago when I chaperoned my son with the h.s. band. It is so wierd being at the MK and running into people you know all day. My dd will be marching on Sat. evening the day before Easter.

Thanks so much!

I just booked for our April vaca week. I got an intermediate for $134. which included all the taxes. :thumbsup2

Now all I need are the plane tickets. LOL..
