Attention all MNSSHPers

Eric called me at my work number since it was listed in my signature at the bottom of my email, even though all other correspondence with Disney has had my home number listed. So it appears they are just responding off the emails and not pulling up our actual ressies when calling.

Eric called me at home and my email was only signed with my name, no address or phone number. They had look up my info in their records in order to have my phone number. I figure if they went so far as to look up my number to call me, they must be getting a little concerned about the emails.
So I think, no matter the outcome, our emails did get their attention.

Can anyone tell me where I should send my email? I sent mine through "contact us" on the Disney website under general resort information/questions. I put some thought into what I wanted to say and would like the person who reads it to do the same. Obviously not the case from the reply I got.

That is where I sent mine.

Hope you have a terrific trip!!! I'm sure this is all going to 'shake out' just fine. I'm with you....there's nothing more I can do, so I will just have to wait until I get there. So, here's hoping your trip is the best one possible and many magical things happen for you and your family!!!

Goofy4tink,
I really do appreciate the good wishes for my upcoming trip. I hope you and your family have a GREAT one also.

Well I just got an email from a Deb Gaspelin in the "Executive Offices." She wants my phone number so she can call me back...but like the others, I included that, my address, and even my confirmation number in my email to them. Oh well...I'll give her a call to see what this answer will be.

Poor Eric! He must be a busy guy. He left a message on my voice mail today pursuant to my email about MNSSHP. He knows that there's a lot of "unofficial" information going around and he wanted to assure me that Disney has all the proper measures in place to insure that the park will be cleared for MNSSHP so that all party goers will have an enjoyable experience. Sounds like there's no doubt that the 7pm closing IS going to happen. Good luck to all you 9/15 ticket holders. I will be waiting to hear from you! :)

I believe that was the name of the young lady who called me a day or so ago.

Got my "please call me back with your phone number" email from Ana Coolidge.
I think I'll call tomorrow.

A woman named April "executive office" called me tonight and left a message saying there were now going to be procedures in place and this party was only open to those with wristbands. Said she knew we had tickets and we were coming Oct 31st and that Disney heard our concerns. Left her number if I wished to call her back!

Okay so I got the e-mail from Disney about calling them with my number and then they would call me back. I'm going to call them tomorrow so I would suspect I would get a call back on Monday at the earliest. It still sounds like we're getting conflicting messages about how this simultaneous closing/opening will happen so I want to gather a list of questions from everyone so I can be very specific in my conversation with Disney about what our concerns are. A couple of questions that come to mind are:

1. Are party goers being herded into one land for any amount of time and if so, at what time?

I've seen several posts where Disney told people we are being herded until they clear day guests and some posts where we aren't. If any herding takes place after 7p, I'm going to be a little annoyed!

2. Will day guests be allowed to line/queue up for rides up until 7p?

I think this is a big point b/c if the wait time at a ride was already 30 minutes or more and you line up for the ride then guaranteed you'll be in MK for at least 45 minutes or more. Will CMs really be as diligent to check wristbands after the first hour?

3. Are you (Disney rep) giving me your personal guarantee that CMs will be turning families or individuals away from characters, shows, and rides if they do not have a wristband?

I still don't think Disney has the heart to do this but maybe they want the extra money of being open an hour more. Can you really see a CM at a vending cart telling someone "No, I won't accept your cash for a water - you don't have a wristband"

Let me know any other questions for points that need to be clarified or items that haven't been answered.

I also got the email to call back from Ana Coolidge. It was a reply to my earlier, grouchier email.

I just wanted to say I have not gotten any response from the 2 previous e-mails I have sent. I still think this could be somewhat chaotic especially early in the evening and for the first 2 or 3 parties. They will have to work the kinks out.

I really would like the phone number if someone could PM or post it. I am going to attempt to send one more email.

I am not wanting to obsess just talk to someone myself and ask my questions.

Regardless, I know we shall all have a great time. Heck we will be at WDW :cool1: .

thanks ya'll

My call was from Deb, sounds like even in these we are being told different things.

I got this yesterday mornning in my e-mail:

Dear Julie,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

We appreciate your concern, but let us put your worry to rest. These
holiday events are what we refer to as "hard ticketed event". In other
words, the only way in is with a special ticket. People purchasing day
tickets into the theme park will not be allowed into the event without a "special event ticket". At 6:00pm, guests in the theme park are
escorted out to make to make way for our special event guests.

We hope this information is helpful and we hope to see you in the near
future.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact
us. Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation
number if applicable on all correspondence.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Marie Pride

John from WDW executive offices left me voicemail today in response to the email I sent about MNSSHP. He said basically the same thing that I think the OP posted. They will not be sending everyone to one land but rather begin a sweep from back to front of all day guests. I called back and asked a few more questions about people who try to beat the system. He said more cast members are scheduled those nights to ensure that things move smoothly. He also stated that depending on how well things run for the party on the 15th, they will tweak the operation of clearing guests for my party on the 29th. I was pretty satisfied with the way he explained the information but I think I am still going to wait to buy my tickets until I hear how things go on the 15th as well as what the weather forecast is for the actual 29th.

HOT OFF THE PRESS!!!!!!

Just put my phone down from a Disney Ex called April, who phoned me,after I REQUESTED they replied to my numerous e mails!
She was very polite, however the bottom line is the park WILL close at 7pm to day guests not 6pm as previously done. When I expressed my concerns she said Disney were well aware of all the ticket holders worries and that please give them the oppurtunity to conduct a smooth process. She said due to SO MANY emails, ( from the DIS????? ) they were putting more CMs on crowd control and everyone will have their wristband checked in shops, rides etc.
She did say if we werent happy on the night and we had PROOF that people were not being made to leave, who had no wrist band, to go the Town Hall. I said I didnt want to be doing this and ruin our first MNSSHP. She said "Please trust us, it will be ok." She did confirm it was always "under review" so things could always change back to the old way. However she said this definately wouldnt happen for the first 10 parties.

She was very nice and tried to re assure me, ( I guess truely its out of my control now ) so now im just going to let Disney do their job, and I will do mine and PARTY!!!

Bummer, we're going on the 15th. I hate to be the guinea pigs but I think they are aware of folks' concerns and will handle it the best they can.

I'm gonna call and confirm what you were told right before i leave and get it in writing and take with me. If they don't do what they said, I'll ask for my dough back

I'm going to sit back and hope for lots of pixie dust for our two parties. But, if we see issues, we will be video taping them (we'll have our camera for the fireworks and parade anyway), and I will complain at the end of the night. However, I'm not going to ruin my night by actually looking for these things...if I see them and they bug me, I'll do something about it. Otherwise, I'm going to stop worrying and start planning to have a good time! I hope everyone else can do the same! pirate:
