Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I'm digging out from vacation, the big kids are back in school and I can relax a little.
The gifts were all so wonderful. We've never done this before and I thought it would be one drop per family. Along about day three I told my kids we were probably done - I was wrong!!
My kids loved it - my nine year old was so excited the first night when he got the crayon holder that he was searching around the cabin looking for something to give out - I assured him I had something - I kept it secret from my kids until the day we passed them out. We did the bags with glow sticks, sticky hands, and the Spring Break pirate tatoos and tootsie rolls.
I must admit with 5 children it was a bit overwhelming. I have a whole army of ducks, more pirate stuff than I knew what to do with, the airplanes and punching balls were bouncing off the walls until my husband hid them only to resurface with more chaos days later. I had a new toy to hand out everytime I heard "I'm bored" or "hurry up". We had so much candy that I gave a bag to our room host and wait staff - we couldn't possibly eat it all, especially with all the ice cream, pizza and mickey bars we consumed. My daughter loves dancing to the CD. And I kept some of the m&ms - not sure what I'm going to do with them, but I couldn't let them all be eaten! and I added the magnets to my kitchen collection
And girlzmom, how does a mother of seven have time to make homemade gifts and have all her laundry done in less than 24 hours?? I need a lesson or two!
Thanks again. I wish we had set up a time to meet everyone
Mary
