My 25th HS reunion is happening in November. I really did not like hs much. I had a few close friends but have lost touch over the years. I do see people from time to time because I still live and work in the same town but I am curious as to your experiences at reunions. Did you have fun? Was it worth the effort to attend? Would you go to another one?

I avoid all reunions because everybody there is all old (including me.)

I hate going and seeing all the girls I never called

My 25th HS Reunion is sometime this month. I threw away the invitation and didn't even bother feeling out the questionnaire this time around.

I went to both my 10th and 20th reunions. The 10th one wasn't bad - but the 20th one was a nightmare! A lot of my friends who went to the 10th one didn't go to the 20th one. The snobs in HS were still snobs, magnified by about 1000x! It was like the room had an imaginary line drawn the middle.

I was amazed at how many were grandparents (and that was 5 years ago!!) Half of the group were smashed before we even had dinner. One of the girls was running around behind my back saying I looked like Carol Brady from the Brady Bunch..... and that I was always the favorite of our 8th grade English teacher, that must be how I ended up as the editor.

I jokingly said that I needed someone to beat her up in the bathroom, to my surprise two people volunteered!:earseek: And they were serious!:o

I have never gone to one-my ten year reunion will be coming up, but since I live in the same town that I had while attending high school, I to see some people from time to time.
Don't think I would attend it though.

I went to high school in a small town on Cape Cod. I was invited to our first reunion. I happened to have a second job as a waitress and there were a few people there who graduated with me. They had not been part of the "in crowd" in high school but I had been friendly with a few of them and they hadn't changed much...they were still really nice people who had grown into confident and interesting adults.

When the invitations came out, I mentioned it to them and only one other girl had gotten an invite besides me. Now, keep in mind that all our parents hadn't moved so it wasn't like they didn't have the addresses. And since neither one of us felt like going we volunteered to cover shifts for the others that wanted to go.

Apparently the "committee" putting the reunion together had a specific list of people to invite and it didn't include the entire class. I received a scathing phone call the day after the reunion asking why I had extended my invitation to someone else. And when I got to work we all got to hear the story of the looks of surprise and horror on the faces of the gals at the check in desk when they saw the "uninvited" arrive.

I have never received another invitation to a high school reunion but somehow I think it was all worth it just to imagine the looks on their faces as my friends walked in :)

I'm going to my 20 year at the end of the month...

Mainly going to see a few close friends that I haven't seen in 10 years since we live so far apart.

Not quite sure what to expect....

Ive had fun at my 5th & 10th. I just found out my 15th will be held in September and I plan to attend.
Ironically I am still friends with most of the people I care about seeing, but it does make for a fun night out. There are 5 of us who have been friends since HS and unfortunately life gets in the way of us seeing each other often, so this is a perfect excuse.
