My school is pretty strict.

I've only missed one day, and they always call home. and you have to bring in an excuse or its an illeagle absence, and if you get 10 (im thinking) you get finned.

And if you leave school for an appointment, you must bring an detailed slip from the doctor's office. and if you dont, its another illeagle absence.

and tardies, you can only have 5 a quarter, or its a 8 hour dentention.

Nope, we don't get in trouble unless we miss 30 or more days, then we have to go to court. I haven't missed any days so far this year, but I should have missed today cause I'm handicapped right now.

My school is unbelivably strict about it, well to a point. I've missed 2 days this year, one because of bad weather, and one because of New York (Friday) The limit is 10 EXCUSED days, a year, or you repeat the grade. Last year missed 11 (I still think they miscounted because thay hated me) and we had to beg to let me go to the next grade. I had ALL A's and they were going to make me fail. I know I will be taking out 2 or 3 days in January for WDW, which I think is more important then school, and obviously my mom does too. I'm keeping a record of what days I missed though, just in case. Normally, when I'm sick, no matter how bad, I go to school for attendence and an hour into the day I leave to go home sick. My parents write a note if they know I'm coming home. This is often.

My school is also pretty strict.
You're parents can excuse you for 10 days. If you hit 10, you have to provide doctors excuses and what not for all 10. You also get fined by the state and depending on the situation, your parents can get locked up.

As for class, if your walking in when the bell rings, your late. You then have to go to Student Services and sign up for a 15 minute detention and they will then give you a pass.

Most of that is due to the 9+ bomb threats we have had this year .


I took my first "sick day" this year for the first time in 9 years, and it wasn't even a full day. Occasionally I miss an hour or so for an appointment which is usually across the road.

Then there's the rariety like Friday, I am not going because I'm going up to Michigan.

At my school you can have 15 excused or 3 unexcused to get a loss of credit..if you go over 10, then you have study hall, after school for 2 hours to make up the class(es) that you have been gone for.

If you have a cronic medical condition and you are at the doctor alot, or home because of illness, it doesn't count. You have to have a note though, explaining the condition.

I was seriously like 2 min. late and my geometry teacher told me to step outside. When he finally got out there like 20 minutes. He was like why did interupt my class like that. I was 2 minutes late! I t was even excused.... Huh how stupid...?

This is just like my geomatry teacher.
But.
He said "No moving around" for our freeday-ish thing. Everyone in the class started moving. So I figured he decided it was ok. So I moved. After class he whispered to me and only me "your not a good listener" and gave me dirty looks all class.
Lets go to the first day of school. It was the end of class and we were walking out. I laughed because someone said something funny. He held me after and lectured me for 1/2 a hour on my happiness.

Go figure.

i really dont know, lol. you need to be called in to be excused thats all i know.

i haven't missed any days of school this year.

i did miss a half day for going to washington dc through school. but that didn't count since like 1/2 the grade got to leave early with me.

and ours isn't too strict. but like if your tardy like everyday//4-3 times a week then they have a talk with your parents.

but it's seroiusly not that bad.

this girl like seriously skips like a month of school a year and says she's "sick" and no one cares. even though everyone in the world know she's not.

Here if you miss more than ten days, you go to summer school.

I've had perfect attendence most of the years I've been in school.

mine are reasonable. if you miss 10 or more days you have to take all your exams, and if you fail one you fail the semester.
