Attendant Gifts

My bridal party is made up of 7 very different women (you'd never believe most of us are related) with a very large age range too - youngest will be 17 at the wedding and oldest will be 47. I wanted something everyone will like and use so I am making up gift sets for each of them containing several smaller gifts rather than 1 large item.

I got photo tote bags from bed bath & beyond (on sale right now for $3.99 & 4.99 each depending on the style you choose online). In each bag I am putting a few things that will be the same for all and one or two things special to each girl's individuality. So far I have or have ordered: shirts that say bridesmaid, & moh, a pretty picture frame, & a small trinket box. I am planning on adding a nice candle, disney hats, and I found a seller on ebay who sells silver necklaces with pendants of just about any disney character you can imagine (so cool - they have Scuttle!) so I will be getting one for each girl in her favorite character to wear during the wedding.

Additionally, I am planning on taking them to MNSSHP provided there is an event either 10/30 or 10/31 in 2007.

I did LL Bean tote bags for all of the girls and had their names monogrammed on them. THen i filled them with bath & body works, minnie flip flops, a disney kechain, a photo album and some other miscellaneous items. The girls loved the bags, they brougth them the next morning packed with all of their stuff to get ready for the wedding with, so it turned out to be perfect@

we paid for their accomodations, gave them 2 day park tickets & we treated them to guys (fishing) & gals (spa) events. at the rd i gave my moh a necklace & earring set to wear at the wedding, my readers personalized photo pillows & hankies, bm a stein & beer of the month club & usher golf related items including disney golf balls.

I was just in my best friends wedding and she gave us some nice gifts I thought. She gave each of us a tote bag, earings and necklace to wear the day of the wedding, rhinestone flip flops, make up bag with our inital on it, bath and body stuff, and a candle/holder. Each of us got the same thing, as well as another item or two that was personalized. Plus her parents put us all up one night at a local villa and paid for half our dresses.

I am making the jewelry for my girls to wear the wedding day, paying for them all to get up do's for the wedding, and giving them a monogrammed hankerchief (I have changed my mind a million times though!) I have 8 bridesmaids so it gets pricy to give them too much stuff!

Im liucky i only have 1 bridesmaid and Gary only has 1 best man and 1 Groomsmen.

We have paid for the tux rental for the Groomsmen and we are booking them on the around the world on a segway tour.

For the bridesmaid, i have brought her dress, shoes, a sparkly headband and some gold mickey earings.

What i did was basket personilzed to each girl ( i had 2 + decorater). They got B+bw shower gel, hand lotion in favorite scent along with disney t shirt for bm, moh got why horses are better than men one along with wedding planner since she was just begnning to plan own wedding. Decorater got yankee candle and a lunch out with me in place of t shirt.

Great ideas! Since we had to postpone our wedding I have tons of time to work on my bridesmaids gifts. I'm creating a scrapbook for each girl of the times we've spent together. We were also going to get the whole wedding party monogramed Mickey ears. But I love everyone's idea of a bag to put it all in!

Here's what I gave my bridesmaids:

Monogrammed bathrobes (we got the robes for only $16 each at Sam's Club)
Red faux-garnet earrings to match their dresses (I gave my MOH real garnet earrings)
Paid for their hair and makeup

I'm giving my 5 bridesmaids:

Personalized hoodies for getting ready - the ongoing joke is "Bridal Boot Camp" and I actually sent them recruitment letters and dog tags with our wedding date and locations on it to ask them to be in the wedding so I'm personalizing the hoodies with
Bridal Boot Camp
WDW
PVT. Smith
9/30/06

Earrings & Necklaces for the wedding day
Spa Gift Certificate
Pearl Pendant Necklace on an 18k white gold chain

I've also taken them out for two nice dinners so far and plan on getting them some drinks while playing "Around the World" not that that's a gift, but every little bit helps to show my appreciation :)

OMG - I love the Bridal Boot Camp idea, that's awesome :thumbsup2

My fiancee is making jewelry for her girls, plus giving nice matching flip flops for the reception (easier on the feet) and a few other things all in a really nice Tote bag she found in their favorite colors (each bag is different for each individual).

I am not so creatively inclined, so I just bought Kenneth Cole watches for the groomsmen. I did, however, get a different watch for each guy. I tried to match the watch to their personalities.

For my groomsmen I am paying for their tuxedo rentals. I thought that since they are traveling so far for the wedding it would be nice to relieve some of the financial burden on them. For my best man (my dad) I decided on a nice watch with an engraving on the back.

I am thinking of getting my bridesmaids an engraved trinket box w/a necklace. I've been looking on the things remembered website and they have some really nice gifts! As for my fiance's groomsmen we are thinking of either an engraved tie clip (or whatever it is called) or an engraved multi purpose knife.

I did LLbean bags too!! They had limited edition bags that were pink with pockets on the front and heart patches on the pocket. All of their names are monogrammed on the bags. I am filling each bag with "A day at the beach" stuff. Big pink and white striped beach towels from Pottery barn (they are SO fluffy I love them!!!) pink terry bathing suit cover ups,Pink flip flops, bridesmaid baseball caps, sunscreen, a bottle of water with our wedding day label on it, and a Nora Roberts romance novel!!! :rotfl: I also got my MOH (and little sister) a silver Tiffany bracelet with a heart tag and her name engraved one side and our wedding date on the other. All the other girls I got necklace and earring sets to wear at the wedding and I'm paying for them to get their make up and hair done.

I can't wait to give them out!!! princess:

I am having 8 bridesmaids too and I understand it being pricey. Have you found someone to do the up do's and how much will it cost? I so far have bought them each shannon crystal cinderella coaches and I want to do something else for them each personalized.

I have 1 MOH and 3 Bridesmaids. I think I'm going to get them this...

Trinket Box

and have it engraved with something special. I will probably put a necklace/earing set inside for them to wear the day of the wedding.

Since my little sis (she's 12) will be my MOH, I am getting her a ring with both of our birthstones and a matching necklace. We're 19 years apart, but she is the greatest sister in the world and we're so close. :)

I am doing some of my favorite things...1st I got them all a Mickey Tote
a serasoft blanket, 2 pairs of these really great soft socks that I love, earrings to wear at the wedding, paying 50 on each bm dress and I will probably get them a frame album or something else like that....and maybe a t shirt
