Attack of the Lakeshore Lodge

Well, that's interesting.

If I am reading @MagicCat's post correctly, those were not Guides; it was at the CFW condo owners meeting. Still not ink-on-paper, of course, but a lot more reliable.
Yes it was at the annual owner’s meeting in December last year at the Contemporary for owners of the cabins. I was the only person who attended. The management team of DVC was there and answered some questions I had. They won’t come out and confirm or deny a lot of things but when you’re having a conversation with them you can draw some conclusions.

This makes me want to buy a 25 point contract there just to attend such an intimate and exclusive event.

I bought a dedicated week around Halloween at the cabins as a first time DVC buyer. My cabin points from now on will be used exclusively for the cabins but I’ve also enjoyed staying at other resorts so I bought another contract when DVC had the sale at Old Key West to use as sleep around points.
What I’m realizing is that alot of DVC people haven’t experienced holidays at the fort and have no idea how unique and fabulous the campground actually is. To me, Trick or treating at the fort is the most beautiful and magical experience in all of Disney World, better than anything offered at the parks or any of the other resorts. I bought a piece of that and it’s priceless. I think it’s going to be hard getting into the fort on Halloween if you don’t own there.
I went to the owners meeting for the cabins and DVC management said they know that it’s hard to sell the cabins right now because the resort is being put together is phases and with the uncertainty people don’t know everything they are going to get but they think it’s going to be wonderful. They mentioned they are aware of how special the resort is and they want to honor that. They also inferred in so many words without actually coming out and saying it that everything from now on will be a trust product because it’s the best fit. That was my understanding from the conversation I had with them.
I love this, you've said it better than I have tried to in previous posts. But now I'm thinking, we shouldn't be spilling this secret all over the board, we don't want to make it harder than it already is to go for the holidays! 😜
I have strongly considered a Halloween favorite week, I think they've paused them though. Did you buy 43?

Did you read the newest description that accompanied those photos?
It says they are also planning treehouse structures / accommodations to expand the nature theme of the resort along with the A- Frames…

When I look at these pictures I also realize they I’ll be updating the Fort restaurant facilities… It just screams out of place Needs update and I am sure the kitchen will just be the beginning .
I’m pretty sure it will be a good thing if we can afford it.

There are four "treehouse" accommodations located between the five waterfront "A-Frames" on the west side of the resort and Crocket's Tavern/Trail's End/Pioneer Hall and the water - circled in red in the image. Also the original concept art. FWIW.

If the lazy river matches the scale shown here, I am afraid it’s going to be too small for the size of the resort.

I know, it's so hard to tell scale in drawings. Using the measuring tool in Adobe I get roughly 633 feet around. Big emphasis on roughly as measure 100 times and you get slightly different results depending on just where you click. SAB's "lazy river" (which I consider a pathetic excuse for a lazy river) is roughly 244 feet, although obviously surrounded by a much more elaborate pool setup. The Four Seasons lazy river (which is awesome) seems to be roughly 698 feet. Of course width is a part of the equation too.

I'll withhold judgement until the final product, but I suspect it may end up being like how I feel about many Disney resort feature pools (particularly the MK and Epcot deluxes) - passable but at times undersized for the demand.

That is all assuming, of course, that a lazy river is in fact still a part of the plan!

In May, we stayed at BRV. We rode a bus that picked us up at WL and then stopped at FW area (parking area in LSL construction area). I can’t recall where which park we were headed to.

Maybe that was a fluke?
Per multiple answers to my question on the Transportation forum, the “yellow bus” route runs from WL to the FW Settlement bus stop (which is close to the LSL construction), then runs the internal route through FW.
