The movie was terrible. I really enjoyed the plot, it was really intriguing. However, the film was very.. unorganized. I'm sure the director was trying to be 'artsy' or whatever by showing things from both points of view, but I had to think very hard while watching this film to get really what was going on. It was so out of order.
The typer writer got on my nerves.
And it was very boring. There were long scenes where nothing would happen. Not even dialogue. The worst one was him walking on the beach. It showed devastation and war very well, but it wasn't anything I hadn't seen in a film and was quite boring. If I had actually been at my normal theatre with comfy seats, I would have been asleep.
I think people should read the book first. It's a wonderful novel, and then when you watch the movie, the blanks can be filled really easily.
The ending was also very sad.
