ATMs

Hello everyone! Several years ago, I remember that the type of ATM machines they had were useless for the types of card we had - we had to drive like 10 miles to find an appropriate machine. Is Disney now capable of accepting all cards? Also, what do you need cash for? We are debating whether we should wait to take out cash before we leave, or take it out when we get there. Thanks!

i have used the ATM in passed years, not being able to withdraw when I needed to, and inconvient at times, we now use Traverlers Checks. The ATM machine normally only allows a certain dollar amount per day, meaning several trips to the ATM each day, The traverlers Checks will be protected and able to be replaced whereas the cash, if losted or stolen, its gone.

I would also recommend traveler's check but I am an overplanner. I would worry about not being able to withdraw and then being stuck at WDW with no money! Now that's a nightmare! The last time we went I got traveler's checks and then I made a withdrawal the last day we were there.

We normally take travellers cheques now, but our paydays fall while we are there and we will need to use an ATM at sometime during our trip this coming week. I know a lot of them are now Chase and not Suntrust any longer as we bank with Chase so that is a good thing for us. Are all the ATMS in the parks owned and run by Chase can anyone tell me??..thanks for any info you have in advance...
