Atmosphere at value resorts and AoA?

My family and I are going to Disney in February for our annual trip. We usually stay at Bonnet Creek, but I'm entertaining the idea of staying at Disney this year if there will be a free dining offer. I want the price to be pretty comparable to staying at BC since we'd be giving up all the space that we'd have at BC. I've never stayed at a value resort before (I've only stayed at deluxe resorts) so my question is: what is the atmosphere like there? What about AoA for anyone that has been there? Does it get loud at night?

I love the Value Resorts...I find the atmosphere is very fun and lively....as for noise, the only place I think is loud is pool side. If you need space, depending on your party size, then look into the suites....I stayed in the ASMusic suite once and loved it. Plenty of room.

I have stayed at all levels, and I enjoy all levels. If you stay value, note that the beds are double. The rooms are small, and so are the bathrooms. There isn't much room to "hang out" in your room. However, the pools are fine, the theming is fun, and my young boys really enjoy the liveliness of the area. The only transportation (other than your own) is bus, so expect that. If you are expecting the same room experience as at Bonnet Creek, you will be disappointed. If you are willing to live in a smaller space and embrace the Disney magic, it can be lots of fun. I personally would rather stay value than off site at a larger resort, but I prefer total immersion into Disney.

The atmosphere at the values is awesome! We've stayed at ASMo, ASp, and Pop. We've always had a wonderful experience. One trip was in February and the others were in June. Like a PP stated if you want quiet you do not want to be in a pool facing room. .

i would look into the swan dolphin. Its on property and would be more lile Bonnie Creek. Its more of a deluxe but for the price of a mod. They have rates as low as 179 a night I think. They also have deals if you book 4 nights the fifth night is free. You need to book Starwoods directly. I stay there all the time. In my opinion it is the best bang for the buck on property. Also if you are a AAA member a lot of the restaurants on property are 20% off. You cant beat that.

Thank you for the responses! That gives me the answer I needed. I think we'll give it a try if free dining falls on the dates we're going.

We are here now. Haven't had any problem with noise at all. Our room faces the courtyard. AOA suites have a queen bed in the bedroom.
