We are interested in purchasing a resale at BWV.The location as well as the low point values for standard view rooms make it very appealing. We have stayed at the Swan and have walked on the Boardwalk many times so we are familiar with the area. However, any insight on the following would be appreciated:
1) I know the Boardwalk has numerous bars. (dance hall nightclub, ESPN Zone)
Is there too much hustle and bustle?
2) With four children, is this an appropriate place for families?
3) Is the noise level inordinately high?

Thanks for any insight! We'd love to buy at BCV but the points needed for a 2 bedroom are significantly higher. My husband really wants an Epcot location.

BWV preferred view and BCV require the same amount of points. BWV standard view points per night are less, those rooms are not near the Boardwalk so you don't have to worry about noise. ESPN does have a bar but it also has a separate room for dining (it is not an ESPN Zone with games). The Dance Hall is at the far end of the Boardwalk near the Swan/Dolphin.

I don't have kids but many families with kids own there. I don't think there's anything inappropriate for families.

We own at both BWV and BCV. We love the location. We have a DD 12 and DD 21 and both have a great time at either location. The pools are great at each but SAB is tops. Boardwalk has wonderful family vaudeville acts many evenings on the Boardwalk. We love the Boardwalk Bakery and can easily walk over to BC or YC for the great restuarants, especially Beaches & Cream. If you go during the time of year when the parks close early which we normally do the Boardwalk is active in th evening and if your kids are in the age group where they can go explore themselves it is great. We love sitting on the Boardwalk and winding down.

We have always stayed in standard views at the Boardwalk and have never had a bad room. We have really been able to stretch our points because of standard views and are spoiled by the location. We feel that we are spending less time getting to and from the parks because of the boats and walking distance to Epcot and MGM. Our time is precious when we are at WDW and I want to spend the least amount of time on transporation. Also it sounds like the bus issue at the Boardwalk has been resolved which we can't wait to try out.

We have also been able to save points by renting a 2 bedroom at the Boardwalk and using as a 1 bedroom and a studio due to the separate entrance. We are doing it this December for our grand gathering so we saved 25 points by renting 1- 2 bedroom and 3 studios instead of a 1 bedroom and 4 studios.

Hope this helps.

We have four children as well and it is their favorite resort. We own the BWV, VWL and the BCV. It is a great place for children becuase there is so much to do and it is so close to two parks. Community Hall alone makes it a great place for kids and families. I have never seen anything that I would deem inappropriate for kids at the Boardwalk.
