ATM Network Down in Central NJ???

Well, I have been to three ATMs this morning trying to get $$ for shopping. At the first one, at my own bank, bunch of guys standing around machine staring, so I asked if it was broken. They said "It keeps telling us to wait."

Had to go to another bank for a business deposit, tried their ATM. First receipt told me I had exceeded daily max withdrawal (oh really? Had not made any withdrawal yet). Tried for a balance check and it could not process.

Went to third ATM at another braqnch of my bank. Tried for balance check. Held my card for 5 minutes before telling me it could not process.

I went to my bank's online baking site to check all my accounts, and they are as they should be.

Just be warned, you may have to get your cash the old fashioned way today--via check cashing.

Just some FYI on downed ATM's.

There are scams where they'll do something to the ATM to make it hard for you to use it, have you try over and over and the whole time, they're watching you enter your pin. You move on frustrated and they withdraw your money from your account with the pin.

Be wary of people at ATM's offering help or telling you of trouble with that particular machine.

barbeml, might I ask what bank you are using? I am heading out to the bank in a few to do various bankings.

Two Fleet ATMs in Hopewell, and Hopewell Valley Bank. These were all ATMs at actual banks.
