ATM Machines on Board?

We are leaving on Saturday on our first cruise on the Fantasy(after 2 previous Dream cruises).

I know the ship is cashless but I can't recall if there are any ATM machines on board. I need some cash to pay for the balance of one of our excursions on the day of and I'd rather not carry all the cash with me the entire time if I don't need to.

Or, are there easily accessible ATM at the St Maarten, St Thomas ports(although the surcharges are probably ridiculous and how secure are they?)

None no ATMs on the ships at all.

St marten and St Thomas have ATMs at the port.

I would just bring the cash with you. You will likely face tons of fees using an ATM in port.

Surcharges aren't really crazy high. If you use a credit card you may be faced with a currency conversion fee, ATM surcharge, and cash advance fee. If you use a debit card you may be faced with currency conversion fee and ATM surcharge. In any case, each is only usually a 1% or 2% fee. Of course you need to check your terms and conditions.

Guest Services will cash a check, but there is a limit on how much they will give back to you, kinda like the limits they have on converting dollars to other currencies.

We usually bring a few hundred dollars for extra tips, etc although we pay for everything else with credit cards. Once I'm in room, I just leave wallets, passports, etc. in the safe. No reason to carry any miney around except I. Ports where you. I got want a few dollars for tips.

I ran into this on our last cruise! For some reason I had forgotten to take out enough cash, so when we went on an excursion, I couldn't tip what I wanted to! When we got back on the ship, I went to guest services and tried to see if there was an ATM or a way to get money. No go (we didn't have our checkbook with us) We ended up nabbing the first ATM we saw at our next stop. That ATM gave us the option of local currency OR US dollars...which was nice (I think it was in Jamaica). And the surcharge was no more than it would be at an ATM here...
