Atlantis Submarine

Please forgive me if this question has been asked before, but.....should I book the Atlantis Submarine for Cozumel or Grand Cayman? Which one is the best?

We have done the Atlantis Submarine in Grand Cayman and loved it!!

I've never done it anywhere else but I've read other reviews that say there is definitely more sea life in Grand Cayman.

We booked it on our own as it is right by the cruise ship terminal so its easy to do it on your own.

Usually you can save money by booking excursions on your own. However, according to the DCL web site, the price for the Atlantis submarine is $75 for adults and $50 for kids.

The price to book it directly, according to the Atlantis web site is $84 for adults, $59 for teens, and $42 for kids.

On Grand Cayman Cruise excursions rates are

adults: $75.50 $0.50 more
Kids: $37.75 $4.25 cheaper
Teen: $53.50 $5.50 cheaper

my family did this in GC and we really enjoyed it. It is very easy to get to from where the ship tenders. Just walk about a block and a half or so to the right when you get off the tender, and you are there...you have to take a cab in cozumel if i remember right to get to Atlantis from the ship.

we just got back...did the Atlantis sub in Cozumel.

If I had to do this all over again, I'd prob book this with DCL for Grand Cayman (as an early time..if available). GC requires a tender and persons booking through DCL are offered priority in getting off the ship.

In Cozumel, we walked (like school children) 2 or 3 blocks to waiting taxi's for a (Mr Toad's Wild Ride) 10-15 minute ride to Atlantis. After, you do have a choice of being dropped off by the ship or shopping district.
