I need some help. I am going on another cruise line (sorry Disney) to Nassau. I booked a room at the comfort suites so that I have access to Atlantis Resort. We are docked from 7 a.m. until 1 a.m. Is it worth it to spend almost $200 for one day there. My son really wants to go there. It is only me and my 12 year old son.

We did the same thing last summer and my kids ages 10 and 11 thought it was the funnest part of the trip. The pool there is really incredible and they have a little snorkling lagoon where you can snorkel for free. It was not absolutely fabulous snorkeling, but the kids definetly got to see some fish. The aquarium is also really neat. I looked at it like it was not that much more than most shore excursions and we got snorkeling, aquarium, pool and beach time all wrapped up together. Your son will love the slides and I think it is worth the money. Have a blast.

We did the C. Suites/Atlantis route on our 10/5 Wonder cruise, and I think it was worth every penny. The grounds, pools, beaches, aquariums, shops, and casino were awesome! Make sure you ride on the Lazy River ride--it's fun! It was DH, DD13, and I, and I know that we'll always remember our day there. Go for it!

We just got back from our cruise. We did the same thing. Booked a room at C. Suites. Lots to keep you busy there! We got our room for 126.00 plus taxes.

Have fun!

How did you get from the cruise ship to Atlantis and how much did it cost. Is it very easy because I worry too much since I am the only adult.

There is NO shortage of taxis' waiting for you. They will ask if you want a taxi. Then they gather up about 10 or so and take you to a waiting taxi. Have them take you to Comfort Suites if you have a room booked there or straight to ATlantis. I made the mistake of just letting them take me to Atlantis figuring it was next door. It is, but where they let you off it's a walk. But she was very nice and took us over there.
After you ck in, they'll give you a receipt to take over to ATlantis. They'll show you a walking path to take. It's VERY close this way. THey told me to go to the pool and get my wrist bands there. Then you're free to do what you want. So much to do there. Worth the price.
The cost of the taxi was 4.00 pp. Should be the same getting back as well.
When you ck in at C.Suites, you can have them keep the key to the room so you don't have to go back. Or you can keep it and clean up before you head back.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Can anyone provide more details on reserving a room at Comfort suites? It mentions that check in is at 3pm...but the cruise ship docks earlier..can we still present ourselves to register at the hotel....I am sure they are familiar with this type of room bookings to gain access to Atlantis..but double checking.

Do many cruisers do this? Is it worth the price I am receiving a quoting of $203.00 USD?

Any other suggestions for Nassau?

Thanks ..sorry for all the questions..

Many do this at Comfort Suites. You won't have any problem cking in early. CAll them at their 1-800 #..book a room. LGOLD rate. I guess it depends on when you book is what the price will be.

There are many things you can do to keep you busy at Atlantis. You can always post that as a new thread as what to do in Nassau. Some talk about swimming with the dolphins. For us, we paid 150.00 with taxes for a family of four..can't beat it.

Hope this helps. I know it's always scary doing something and going somewhere you've never been before. But many people are waiting to take you over to Atlantis. But do remind them you want to go to Comfort Suites. THey asked us at the light before they turned left to ATlantis. So they can swing and drop u off at CS then go to ATlantis.

We also booked CS during our Halloween cruise. Definately ask for the LGOD rate if its available...and also continue to monitor the rates on Choice Hotel's website. About 2 weeks before our cruise, the rates dropped to $112 and one phone call to Choice Hotels and they gladly gave us the lower rate.
Do NOT let them tell you to go to the Casino to get your wristbands!! We wasted probably an hour being misdirected to various areas. We wound up getting our wristbands at the towel hut at the Beach Tower pool. You can also save a little $$ by bringing some sandwiches and snacks from the ship and leaving them in your CS refridgerator. Food is very high at Atlantis!
Considering the cost of the excursions thru the ship..we definately got our $$$s worth for 4 of us...and it was the highlight of our trip! Your son will adore the pool!!
