Atlantis question

We will be on the 1/12 Wonder, following the land part of our land/sea vacation. We did the same cruise last year and did the Atlantic guided tour excursion, which included the aquarium. We don't want to do the excursion again but may want to tour Atlantis and the aquarium on our own. Has anyone done this? Do you remember the cost and what was included? What is the best way to get to Atlantis on your own? Thanks for any info. I don't post much, as you can see, but I'm an avid reader of these boards and have gotten so much great info here.

We did Atlantis aquarium on our own last spring.

You will need to catch a cab from the port. Negociate a price and tolls before you step into the cab. It should be no more than $4 per person one way with a $1 toll going to Atlantis.

Can't remember the exact cost for entry to the aquarium, but it is about $27+ for the adults and $19 for a child?? You will receive a wrist band to identify where you can go. Not sure, but I am sure other posters will correct the prices.

As for the rest of Atlantis, there are some areas that you can walk around, shoping areas, casinos, restaurants.

If you want to swim in the pools you will need to book room for the day at Atlantis or at the comfort inn next to Atlantis. You will get a wrist band identifying you for use of the pools

We left after breakfast did the aquarium, looked at the grounds a little and was back for lunch on the ship.
