Atlantis for the day while in Nassau

I called Atlantis the other day to see how much rooms where so that we could use their facility. The desk person told me the price and I gasped, so he told me another way to use the facility was to purchase Day Use Room which was $150 for a room (4 to a room) The desk told me that it's first come first serve based on availability when you get there.

Has anyone ever done this?

Several people on the boards have done it in the past, but I thought that you could reserve ahead of time. I also believe that you can reserve a room at the Comfort Inn and have the same benfits.

$150 isnt bad at all. but they are saying you have to wait till that date to get it?

The Comfort Suites across the street from Atlantis is much less expensive and entitles you to all the benefits of staying at Atlantis(but less expensive).

we want to go in Feb & the rate was $216 plus I hear there's 12% tax & other fees. Sees way too much!

We did it this past September...the day room was $150...total...no additonal taxes or anything. From the sounds of what I have heard others say...the Comfort Suites may be a little cheeper...but not that much. If i remember correctly it was real close $$$ wise. I also liked the idea that our room was right there...and we didn't have to spend addtional time walking to Comfort suites...although it's not far...

Anyways...the price I felt was well worth it...For the four of us...just for the dig (aquarium) was going to be close to $100...so for only $50 more we were able to use the slides, pools, all the entertainment, go through the dig...and EVERYTHING that Atlantis had to offer....water toys, floats, paddle boats, private beach...and so on and so on....

Since we were not suppose to be going to Nassau on our cruise...I didn't pre plan and book ahead...we walked in and asked once we arrived.
