hello fellow travellers of the disney-verse......
just a stupid question but hey here goes,
I am interested in the Atlantis excursion, my DD1 and I would like to take the young one to (DGS) explore the realms of the aquariums, and other great with the funness stuff and we heard some of the places at the Hotel Atlantis are "offlimits".:worried:  this is our maiden voyage on the DC Wonder and are of the most confused  PLEASE PROVIDE ASSISTANCE:confused3

The Atlantis excursion is very nice but there is a lot and I mean A LOT of walking involved!! And there are a lot of steps so a stroller will not help with the little ones.

The only place "off limits" (besides the guest rooms) are the beach and swimming pools unless you purchase a package that includes the use of the beach and pools. There is also the possibility of booking a room there (but it is very pricey!!!) and then you are permitted to go anywhere in the resort.

What are the ages of the little ones in your party?

I agree, LOTS of walking. We took our 5 year old son, father-in-law with a bad knee, and husband's 80 year old grandmother. Atlantis was great, but the walking was awful. The ferry ride IMO was quite long and boring also. Then once you get off the ferry you have to walk a long way to the resort. I don't know how everyone else got back to the ship, but we paid to have the hotel shuttle bus take us back. We just couldn't walk anymore.

Thanks for your info. The youngest in my party is 4. He's crazy for anything having to do with fish, animals, dinosaurs, etc. DD1 is 25 and wants to see the casino.
:cloud9:

Hey! I got a countdown too. I'm very computer illiterate (as DD1 says) but I did it!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I've done this twice while cruising and it's the best way to spend a day at Atlantis.

Book at room at the Comfort Suites across the street from Atlantis - a room there gives you FULL access to the Atlantis resort (beach, slides, pools, casino, aquarium) - no need to book an excrusion. If there aren't any rooms left at the Comfort Suites - you will most likely beable to call Atlantis that morning and request a Day-Room. Last time I was there I was charged $200.

You take a cab right at the port ($4 - $5 per person) - it was easy and convenient.

This gives you the whole day to spend there with no set times. Just make sure you grab a beach chair as soon as you arrive, as they go quickly.

Hi,

I'm going to Atlantis on July 26,2004 and was wondering if you know how much if costs to get in the dig. And also if the jittneys from Nassau go to Atlantis. I hear it is probably best to take a cab to Atlantis. Thanks!
