Atlantis - $129 Travelzoo rate is back

We paid $164 (at the 129 rate) for 2 adults and a 1 year old. I am pretty sure the 1 year old was not charged fees so it was 129 plus 20 = 149 plus 15 in taxes

Thanks! So excited to get this "deal." What an excursion for $50 a person! Have a WONDERful time on your cruise!

Can someone who has done this in the past tell me what time you were able to get into your room.

I checked for the day we'll be there, and it said the Travelzoo family deal was not available.

When I did this is 2006, we got to the resort quite early, 10 or so, and they had a room available. So we went to the room (warning -- it's a huge resort and there is a lot of walking involved) and left our bags. There was a stand near the slides and pools (that also rented pool toys) that gave us the wristbands once we showed the room cards. Later in the day, after using the slides, aquarium, and beach, we went back to the room and showered before leaving to go back to the ship. I will do it again the next time I am in Nassau from the Magic special 5 night in 2008. Even if the rate isn't the special Travelzoo one, a room turns out to be less than an excursion, and I like having the freedom to come and go when I like. We loved the Atlantis.

I have learned so much on this DCL forum in the last 24 hrs!!! lol

When I saw how much it cost for the excursion to Atlantis...for a family of 5??? Forget it!! Then, I find this wonderful info.....book a room....get wristbands...enjoy the awesome resort....have a room if needed for a bit..(if I have it right) I will keep on looking for a decent rate..it will be well worth the experience for the day!!
We are hoping to go in the beginning of Feb..maybe there will be more specials!
Thanks again for the great info!

Disneybride '03: The rooms only accomodate 4. You may need to book 2 rooms!!!

FYI: I just canceled our $178 Comfort Suites room since I just booked Atlantis for $129!!! My Visa shows a charge for this amount. When will they get me for the taxes, extras????

No -- the wristbands are mainly to get to the slides and such in the pool area. Your one year old won't be doing those things. You only need 4 wristbands, which is what you get per room.

Will a barely 6 yr old get alot out of the Atlantis park? We will have a 7 month old and a barely 6 yr old.

The 6 year old will enjoy the aquarium and the beautiful beach -- although there are much bigger waves there than Castaway Cay. I don't think the slides (leap of faith, etc.) would be for the 6 year old, but I'm not sure about the new area . . .

I bet the 6 yr old would enjoy the lazy river ride and there are several pools throughout the property.

  I just booked the Beach Towers at Atlantis for our family in November!!! $129.00 + $20.00 housekeeping fee + 12% tax!! We're so excited. I asked about Dolphin Cay. She said we could book that when we arrived if we wanted to so I think we'll just wait and see about that. Again,  ! Good Luck to everyone who is trying to book Atlantis. Much cheaper than the DCL excursions!

Just bookedmy roomandthey letme book 3 adults, a 10yearold and a1yearold in the room. i did haveto pay $45 extra for the extra adult- but still a steal.
also i was trying to book another room but had to booke 2 rooms because of the ages of the kids- hint they will let a third child in the room if they are 4 and under- and they do not check birth certificates or anything- hint hint. so if someone is 5- say they are 4.

Does anyone know where is the best place to eat there with kids? or are you able to bring food from the ship with you?

I just called to inquire about the $129 rate from Travelzoo.
They were going to surcharge $45 more because DD is 13.
Plus 12% tax = $21
& housekeeping and gratuity fees ($45 for the 3 of us)

That $125 NON REFUNDABLE rate quickly jumped to $240
plus cab fare plus lunch = $$$$$$ :scared1: and if the weather is bad :sad2:

That's just tooooooo much $$ for some waterslides. We'll just wait to go back to Typhoon Lagoon the next time we are at the Mouse House.

Will probably take the acquarium tour; pop into the straw market for some shopping; and head back to the ship.

Keep watching Comfort Suites, their rate may drop more prior to your cruise. I only paid $110 for DD13 and I last December all taxes/surcharges included through the smartertravel link and I booked it 2 days prior to our cruise departure because I wanted to see what the weather was going to be like before I put down a non-refundable payment (and the weather was beautiful, sunny and 80's in early Dec).
