I am going to be in Atlanta for a business seminar, 3/1-3/3, but am coming into town on Saurday, February 28th. How is the weather then, late Feb?

And just a thought, maybe the folks in the Atlanta area would like to get together then, would love to see everyone again, any takers??

Hi, Dan!

Good question... I forget!!

Right now on February 7th it is 36 degrees in the heat of the day. The end of month should be about in the 50s or so, but this is just a guess. It can go either way in Atlanta.

:bounce: You know I'd love to meet with you guys! I missed the last two because of all my trauma, hoping nothing else happens! :p

Well, Dan, Atlanta weather at the end of winter going into spring is very unpredictable. We could have really cold temps or it could be fairly warm. Also, be prepared for rain. You never know here what will happen!

At any rate Dan since you are from the Chicago area, Atlantas 30 degrees will probably seem balmy to you!!! I live farther south but I seem to remember that March sometimes has the worst winter weather for us. It is very unpredictable as the others have said. (Kind of like WDW in December!!)

Does that mean No trip in April to WDW? I am planning another one than, just got back 2 days ago and planning ANOTHER one! :p ;)

Well...I know we will be there in April but I know that THIS year we will be taking some clothes for Cooler weather also. Last year we had to go buy jackets because it got cold down there.

Hey Dan......Will you go in April this year???

Hey Dan! DH & I may just be able to see you again! If the meet is Sat night - we can drive up on Sat & back home on Sun.
Robinrs - you know we have wanted to meet each other - forever! I told Ray Sharpton that I wanted to meet you and he said he'd set up a meet. DH & I met him at the Boardwalk the 1st of Dec. Same time we met Dan. Has anyone heard from Ray? I hope if there's a meet that he will be there, too.
I'll keep checking this thread to see what's going on.

Poohstyx

I live in Atlanta and my spring break always seems to hit that first week in March (I work at a school). I've never had spring-like weather during spring break either! A few years ago we had a really bad ice storm that week. Last year it was in the 50s.

As the others have said: completely unpredictable. The highs can be anywhere from the 30s to the 50s, or maybe 60 if you're really lucky!

I hope it warms up and dries out a bit. I need to work in my garden.

Saturday works for me....:D

:wave:Hi, Poohstyx!

Yep, it's been a LOOOOONG time hasn't it? It would be so nice if we all could meet up.

Dan, I'm leaving this up to you, guy! I'll be there!

I would LOVE to have another Atlanta meet! If we have it on Saturday then I can come. If we have it on Sunday then Colin and I can both come. Either way works for me. :)

Wow, weather sounds fine to me, warmer than here in Chicago!!!! And looks like we might have a nice group to get together on Saturday, the 28th. Who wants to figure out where and when? I will be getting in around noon. Hope to see you all. :cool1:

Maybe you guys could work in a "Where's Ray" scavenger hunt as part of your DISmeet.

Would love to FINALLY meet Dan. Keep me posted about the day (looks like Sat) and the place.

EAD---bring wedding pictures please!!!!!!!!!!! Please!!!!!

Robin----Can't wait to see how much Mighty Mike has grown!!!

Olena----I'd love to see you again.

That's not our week to have the DGS but I'll see if we can get him a day early. (But not couting on it)

Dan--where are you staying and will you have a rental car?

TC, it would be nice if Ray can make it.

Belle, I will be at the Airport Westin Saturday and Sunday and then head to Alpharetta for my meeting on Monday.

Sure hope we are all able to get together, this would be great.

I was thinking that Fuddrucker's restaurant on Windy Hill Road might be a good choice. They have great hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, etc, made to order. Plus, it's not the sort of place where we would have to make reservations or try to reserve a private room. Also, it's located right off of I-75 so it should be relatively easy for Dan to get there without lots of turns. How does that sound?

1) great hamburgers

How does that sound???

Sounds GREAT to me!!!!!!! :bounce: :p

Sounds good! What time?

At least Fuddrucker's is on the north side of Atlanta. That cuts a couple of miles off the 800 mile distance between my home and this DISmeet. Sigh.
