Here I am 1 year later after stayingon Atkins for 6 days...
You read it right 1 year later and I didn't diet and guess what..
My weight stayed the same:rolleyes:
So I am on the Atkins plan...
My question is..
Can I have the Atkins bread during the first 2 weeks???
I think it would be much better for me If I could because
the idea of another egg without bread or tuna without bread is why I gave up..boring:faint:
I am confused about the cereal too. Can I have that on the first 2 weeks???:crazy2:
I have the book but with all these products out now I can't tell which ones I CAN have:bounce:

Thanks everyone :grouphug:

I believe that there's a chapter in the Atkins book on 'Induction', which is the first phase of the Atkins plan.

Essentially, it's : no bread, no potatoes, no rice, no pasta, no fruit, plenty of meat, eggs, cheese, veggies, WATER etc.

No cereal, no bread. Stay at 20 NET carbs or less for the first two weeks. The NET carb figure comes from subtracting FIBER grams from CARBOHYDRATE grams.

Try www.fitday.com .... it will break down what you eat by carbs, protein, etc - and will clue you in on what you actually eat every day. It was a real eye-opener for me!!!

Good luck!

The first two weeks on Atkins or South Beach are very strict. No low carb bread, or meal replacement bars, or fruit, or sugar free candy.

After the first two weeks you can try adding some of those items back into your meal plan.

Would you like for me to email you the rules for Atkins induction?
