My sister who is 26 and is getting married in 2 weeks, (yes I am in the wedding and thats one reason I am pushing so hard to lose weight) just told me that one of her other bridesmaids has been doing Atkins for about 2 months now.
This girl is 25 yo. She wears a size 2 pants and is really tiny with the exception of one thing...her bust is a 32DD. She carries her weight on top and a little (very little) around her belly. She has lost a total of 3 lbs in 2 months. (She never bothered to measure herself).
Today, she had to buy a strapless bra to wear with the dress...she has lost 2 sizes in her chest. She is down to a C cup. She almost passed out when she realized this. Now this girl is not too skinny. If you saw her before and after...you can't really tell a difference except she is more toned. She does not look like Calista Flockheart by any strech.
This just reaffirms for me that Atkins really does help you shape up your body by burning the "right" kind of fat. Not lean muscle.
Thought it might help other slow losers not to get discouraged.
